Every aspiring footballer dreams of being involved with their respective national team in any shape or form, but the honour of being manager/head coach is one that only a few get to experience. With the England team we've seen some mega names try and guide us to success over the years, with them all enjoying various degrees of success. The first name that comes to mind is the great Sir Alf Ramsey, who remains the only man to steer the Three Lions to the World Cup. Our success back in 1966 still remains the greatest moment in English football history but this summer we dared to dream that it could happen again.
Current boss Gareth Southgate spearheaded England's World Cup assault in Russia this summer, where his young side performed well above all expectations to go on and reach the semi-finals. It was a summer full of excitement and joy which brought the nation firmly back together after a series of under-performances at major tournament, with Southgate now regarded as something of a hero to England fans all over.
It looks like we now have a man at the helm who's capable of getting the players to play for the shirt and more importantly rise to the big occasion, so hopefully this is just the beginning for this young England side. Southgate is the latest in a long line of England managers who've attempted to steer us to glory and after having a look through some of the names we've put together a quiz to test your knowledge. We want to see if you can name every England manager since Ramsey departed back in 1974 - meaning there's 17 answers to guess! We've given you one in Southgate to get you up and running - so give it your best shot and tweet your scores into us @FootyAccums, it's not an easy one!
