The Premier League is one of the toughest and competitive divisions in world football, which attracts some of the best players on the globe. Since its inception back in 1992 we've seen some terrific players come and do their thing over here which has resulted in plenty of memorable moments. Talent and quality is required to succeed at the very highest level, but something just as important is consistency. The top players can produce on the biggest stage time after time and in the Premier League it is rewarded in different ways. One being the Premier League Player of the Month Award, something that any player in the division can win.
On Wednesday Raheem Sterling was named as the third lucky recipient of this award this season. The England winger has made an electric start to the campaign for Manchester City and is carrying through his momentum from last term when he helped inspire the Blues to their record breaking title win.
