In-form Hoffenheim will be looking to put more pressure on the teams above them in the tight race for European football in the Bundesliga. Die Kraichgauer face a trip to the Olympiastadion to take on a struggling Hertha Berlin side on Saturday.
The hosts are in deep trouble in Germany’s top tier, sitting in 17th position at the bottom end of the table and two points adrift of safety. Hertha have lost five Bundesliga games in a row and are winless in their last nine.
Hoffenheim on the other hand are enjoying a good run of form, with four wins in their last five. The only game they didn’t win in that time was against Bayern Munich last weekend, where they came away with a respectable point versus the runaway leaders.
Christoph Baumgartner is in fine form, grabbing the opener against the champions last time out. It was the attacking midfielder’s third goal in his last three games.
