The battle for the Champions League places continues in La Liga as fifth-place Real Betis hosts second-placed Barcelona in Seville.
Ever since Barcelona’s shock exit from the Europa League, Barca have been stumbling towards the end of the season. Two defeats in four league games have left Xavi’s side not assured of a Champions League place for next year. A win against Betis here is vital to stop the nerves creeping in.
Memphis Depay will have to produce like he did last time, as Barca sealed a narrow 2-1 win against Mallorca with the Dutchman scoring the opener to take this season’s tally up to 12 for the season.
Real Betis know that they will be able to cause problems for Barcelona, having defeated the Catalan side 1-0 when they visited the Nou Camp in December. Having just secured the Copa Del Ray as well, confidence will be high as they look to close the gap on the Champions League places.
This will be a very close encounter, but the Dutchman Depay will have his name on the scoresheet at some point.
