Alexander Isak Next Club Odds

The biggest story of this transfer window this summer has been the ongoing speculation surrounding Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. The Swedish international has excluded himself from the Magpies' plans this season, as he seeks a move away from the Tyneside club after helping the side to their first domestic trophy in 70 years last season.

Isak was one of the standout performers in the Premier League last season, scoring 23 goals in 34 matches, and he also scored the decisive goal in Newcastle United's 2-1 victory in the Carabao Cup final against Premier League champions Liverpool.

Isak's time to move away from the club has alerted several clubs to the availability of the 25-year-old, with Liverpool in particular increasing their efforts to sign the former Real Sociedad striker. There are reports, albeit unconfirmed by the major reporters, that Isak will be at Anfield next season.

That being said, we take a look at the odds of where Alexander Isak will be playing his football next season.

Latest Odds

The latest Alexander Isak transfer odds are provided by Bet365:

  • Liverpool - 2/5
  • Newcastle United -7/4
  • Any Saudi Arabian Club - 25/1
  • PSG - 25/1
  • Manchester City - 50/1
  • Arsenal - 50/1
  • Real Madrid - 50/1
  • Manchester United - 66/1

Liverpool - 2/5

Alexander Isak's continuous links with Premier League champions Liverpool are not going away anytime soon, as Arne Slot looks to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts next season. The Reds have already splashed the cash on Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike in the attacking areas; however, their main target this summer has been the Swedish international at St.James' Park.

Liverpool have been chasing a world-class, prolific number nine ever since the departure of Luis Suarez in 2014, and Isak fits the profile in terms of a clinical edge and penalty box movement missing from their side for many years. Isak is the complete player and perfect acquisition for Liverpool, given his excellent prowess in front of goal and excellent link-up play, with Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike in the front three, which would cause problems for any defence in world football.

Newcastle - 7/4

A situation that needs to be considered when it comes to Alexander Isak is ultimately Newcastle United's stance on the player. The magpies have been insistent on keeping their star striker all summer, but now face a situation where Isak has not travelled on their pre-season tour to Singapore.

There could be a concrete possibility where Newcastle United and, for example, Liverpool fail to reach an agreement for the player, and Isak remains on Tyneside. One factor in all of this is how effectively Newcastle United lines up a replacement for Isak, which will be key to any transfer negotiations between Isak and other clubs.

The Magpies have been rebuffed in their attempts to sign the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa this summer, and recent target Benjamin Sesko is reportedly looking for a move to Old Trafford to join Ruben Amorim's Manchester United side.

Latest Odds - 7/4: Bet365

Manchester United - 66/1

Manchester United are only on this list given the English clubs listed above and their available striking options. Arsenal have signed Viktor Gyokeres, Manchester City have Erling Haaland, which leaves Manchester United as the closest viable option aside from Liverpool in the Premier League, despite no formal enquiries being made for the player.

It's no secret that Manchester United are looking for a striker in the transfer market, though, and as explained earlier, Isak would be a tremendous fit for the Red Devils. Still, any move can be immediately ruled out at this stage. However, stranger things have happened in the transfer market between the two clubs, with Andy Cole famously switching sides in 1995 for a British record fee at the time.

Other potential teams

  • Any Saudi Arabian Club - 25/1

Al-Hilal have been the team linked with Alexander Isak the most aside from Liverpool, with various reports suggesting they were willing to offer the 23-year-old Swedish international £600.000 a week tax-free, which would prove beneficial to Newcastle United as they won't be selling to a Premier League rival. Isak's potential arrival at Al-Hilal, however unlikely, could see a return to the Premier League for Aleksander Mitrovic as he is reportedly set to depart from the Saudi club.

It's difficult to suggest that Paris Saint-Germain need to make any significant additions to their squad, given how comprehensively they won the UEFA Champions League last season. The one area in their team they could maybe strengthen, though, is their striking department, given their usage of Goncalo Ramos last season and constant speculation surrounding Randal Kolo Muani.

Our Prediction

Liverpool.

Given all the reports and how Newcastle United have also reportedly not included Isak in their promotional campaign for their new kit launch, Liverpool look set to break the British transfer record to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield.
