The next match on this list comes from League One as playoff-chasing Oxford United take on Shrewsbury Town at the Kassam Stadium.

Karl Robinson’s Oxford are four points off the playoff with six matches remaining for themselves so they will likely have to win near enough all of their upcoming fixtures if they are to stand a chance. Shrewsbury are currently 17th in the table and look like worrying neither end of the division, as they are 12 points above the relegation zone and 13 points off the playoffs.

Oxford will be coming into this game with good confidence having hammered Crewe 6-0 at Gresty Road on the weekend where Josh Ruffels, James Henry, Elliot Moore, Brandon Barker, Cameron Brannigan and Sam Winnall all got on the scoresheet.

Shrewsbury come into this match having won two of their last five matches, against Burton Albion 2-1 and Plymouth Argyle 3-0.

The last time these two sides met was in March 2020, which saw Oxford come out as 3-2 winners despite being 2-0 down after 35 minutes. This game saw former Coventry City man Ruffels score an 88th-minute winner.

The next game on this list also comes from League One, as playoff hopefuls Doncaster Rovers take on Burton Albion at the Keepmoat, with Rovers desperate for a win if they are to make the top six, having failed to win any of their last eight matches in the league.

Doncaster can take comfort in their recent record against Burton, as they won 3-1 in the away fixture in December, where Fejiri Okenabirhie, Ben Whiteman and Taylor Richards all scored. They are also coming up against the sixth-worst defence in the division, as the Brewers have conceded 63 times in 39 matches.

Chelsea take on FC Porto at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in Seville.

Thomas Tuchel’s men come into this game in firm control of the tie, having beaten the Portuguese outfit 2-0 in the away leg thanks to goals from Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell.

Porto will be looking back to their 4-4 aggregate win against Juventus in the round of 16 for inspiration. Sérgio Conceição’s side have won four out of their last five matches in all competitions, beating Pacos de Ferreria, Portimonense, Santa Clara and Tondela.

Chelsea will come into this game in full confidence, having thumped Crystal Palace 4-1 at Selhurst Park on the weekend, with their 4 goals coincidentally being the most goals they have scored in a single game under Tuchel.
