Bundesliga Betting: Four Goalscorer Bets to Consider This Weekend

Latest News

Over 700 Bundesliga goals

The Bundesliga is back underway and has not disappointed in terms of goals, as the returning fixtures were filled with goals. A total of 27 goals were scored across the German top-flight in game week 26, with the usual suspects hitting the target.

There have now been over 700 goals in the Bundesliga, with countless top names making their way onto this incredible goalscoring list. Now, as we approach the next round of fixtures, here we take a look at the Sky Bet odds for potential goalscorers to look out for this weekend.

Kai Havertz Anytime odds - 17/10

Kai Havertz is likely to be the key influencer for Borussia Monchengladbach versus Bayer Leverkusen this weekend, as fans will be treated to a third versus fifth-place matchup that could decide a Champions League place.

The 20-year-old is one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young prospects and has returned in fine form by scoring a brace in his first game back, as Leverkusen beat Werder Bremen 4-1.

Havertz now has eight goals for the season and has once again been the standout talent for the German giants this campaign. The brace puts the attacking forward one goal behind his side's top goal scorer, Kevin Volland, who remains sidelined through injury.

This, just as it did against Bremen, will most likely mean the young German will lead the line for Leverkusen in this must-win battle.

Leverkusen will be looking at Havertz to provide the goals and performance they will need to secure a place in the Champions League next season, and Sky Bet have given the German international the high odds of 17/10 to score this weekend.

Now with four goals in his previous three games across all competitions, Havertz is surely a player to look out for going into Leverkusen’s most important fixture for the remainder of the season.

Marcus Thuram Anytime odds - 15/8

Another name to look out for in the fixture between Monchengladbach and Leverkusen this weekend is Havertz’s Gladbach counterpart, Marcus Thuram. Sky Bet have given the 22-year-old odds of 15/8 to score this weekend.

The French forward has been in great form so far, scoring nine goals in all competitions to become Monchengladbach’s second top scorer this season. His attacking prowess has earned the young forward a permanent place in Marco Rose's side, who continue to impress in the Bundesliga and currently sit in third place.

Thuram has also returned to action in goal scoring form, netting on his first game back in a 3-1 away win over Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring after seven minutes.

Rose's men will be keen to maintain their Champions League spot and a win at home in this fixture against Leverkusen will almost guarantee a place in the most elite European competition for next season, and Thuram will be keen to continue his form in front of goal to fight for a first team place in a team filled with forward talent, like Alassane Plea, Lars Stindl and Breel Embolo.

Thorgan Hazard Anytime odds - 12/5

Dortmund are looking to keep the pressure on the league leaders, Bayern Munich, who are looking at securing yet another title. Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland are the obvious contenders when looking at the goal scorers for Dortmund, although, Thorgan Hazard has gone slightly under the radar thus far.

Hazard was one of the goalscorers in the reverse fixture against Wolfsburg in November, and also bagged in his last game against rivals Schalke. Now, Sky Bet have given the Belgian the odds of 12/5 to score against Wolfsburg this weekend anytime.

The Dortmund number 23 has scored six goals this season and is in the type of form to bag against Wolfsburg for the second time this season. His performance against Schalke proved that the winger had an eye for goal and with the odds of 12/5, he could be worth adding to the bet slip this weekend.

Serge Gnabry Anytime Odds - 11/10

Bayern Munich are on track for their eighth consecutive title this season, sitting at the top of the Bundesliga with 58 points. This is far from surprising, of course, when you consider the talent amongst their ranks, with the likes of Thomas Muller and the league's top scorer, Robert Lewandowski, at the Bavarian disposal.

However, one player perhaps not spoken about enough when talking about goal scorers for Munich is German winger Serge Gnabry. Sky Bet have given the 24-year-old odds of 11/10 to score against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Saturday fixture.

Gnabry is currently on 11 goals in 24 games this season, making him fifth in the Bundesliga goal scoring charts and the ex-Arsenal man also has more league goals than anyone on this list.

Bayern managed to score five against Frankfurt in the reverse fixture this season and the club showed no signs of rust against Union Berlin last week. Their opponents this weekend also conceded three goals in their previous game against Gladbach, letting in two inside the first seven minutes.

Considering the amount of goals already scored by the German this season and his opponent's poor defensive record, Sky Bets odds of 11/10 for Gnabry to score this weekend are certainly worth a punt.
