Champions League Tips - 21/2/23

Eintracht Frankfurt versus Napoli promises to be an interesting affair in the Champions League on Tuesday night, with this being a meeting of last season’s Europa League winners against the runaway leaders of the Serie A.

Victor Osimhen has been a standout player for Napoli this campaign and averages 1.7 shots on target per game from 4.2 shots per match. The 24-year-old Nigerian has scored 18 goals from 12.58 xG in the Serie A during the 2022/23 campaign.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been one of the stars of the Champions League this season and averages 1.4 shots on target per game on top of the two goals and three assists that he has managed in five matches during this season’s competition.

During Frankfurt’s last match which was a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen, there were a total of seven corners, while in Napoli’s victory over Sassuolo, each team received two yellow cards each.

So far this campaign, Randal Kolo Muani and Osimhen have been linked with several big money moves and it is easy to see why.

In Franfurt’s 2-0 victory over Bremen at the weekend, France international Kolo Muani managed to score his 15th goal across all competitions, on top of the 14 assists that he has managed. On the other hand, Osimhen has scored 19 goals and created one assist.

Liverpool against Real Madrid could be a feisty affair at Anfield in what is a repeat fixture of last season’s Champions League final.

Mohamed Salah has been superb in the Champions League for Liverpool this campaign, scoring seven goals in six appearances while averaging two shots on target per match.

So far this campaign, Eduardo Camavinga has been shown six yellow cards across all competitions, while fellow Real teammate Vinicius Junior has scored 16 goals and created eight assists in 34 matches.

Cody Gakpo will be looking to maintain the form that he has found in his last two matches, as the former PSV man has bagged in each of his last two matches against Everton and Newcastle United.

Meanwhile, Karim Benzema has scored 16 goals across all competitions and will be vital towards any chances that Carlo Ancelotti’s side have if they are to progress to the next round of this competition.

18-year-old Spanish midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has been superb for Liverpool this campaign and does have a feisty side to his game, having been shown three yellow cards this season. As previously mentioned, Camavinga has been cautioned on six occasions.
