Poland’s talismanic striker has started life well at his new club, as he has already managed to score five goals in just four matches.
Lionel Messi will be determined to try and close down Cristiano Ronaldo’s all-time record of 141 goals in the Champions League this season, with the Argentinian trailing the Portuguese forward by 16 goals.
The former Barcelona man has managed to score 10 or more goals in a single Champions League campaign on four separate occasions, doing so most recently in 2018/19 when he bagged 12 goals in 10 appearances.
So far this season, Messi has been a talismanic figure for PSG, as he has managed to score four goals and create six assists in seven matches.
Mohamed Salah enters this competition having had a slow start to life in the Premier League for his standards, with four-goal contributions in six matches across all competitions.
The 30-year-old had a stunning campaign for Liverpool last season, as he managed to accumulate 47 goal contributions in 51 games for the Anfield club.
Salah’s best Champions League campaign goalscoring-wise saw him manage 10 in 2017/18 in just 13 appearances. The Egyptian has managed to score 36 goals in 71 appearances in Europe’s premier competition, doing so for the likes of FC Basel, AS Roma and Liverpool.
The final player on this list is Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who will be desperate to boost his overall record in the Champions League.
For a player of Kane’s ability, he has only previously played in four Champions League campaigns for Tottenham prior to this season, scoring 20 goals in 24 matches, with just two of these coming in the knockout stages.
Kane will be hoping to take his early season form into Spurs’ European campaign, having managed five goals in six matches.
