Smart Acca Picks: RB Leipzig vs Celtic Should Provide Plenty of Goals

The first tip on this list comes from Manchester City against Kobenhavn in a game that City are expected to win comfortably.

City enters this game off the back of their 6-3 win over city rivals Manchester United where Phil Foden and Erling Haaland both bagged hat-tricks. Prior to this, Pep Guardiola’s men had beaten Wolves 3-0, Borussia Dortmund 2-1 and Sevilla 4-0 after their 1-1 draw away at Aston Villa.

In their two Champions League matches this season, Kobenhavn could only draw 0-0 at home with Sevilla, but, were thumped 3-0 away at Borussia Dortmund as Marco Reus, Raphael Guerreiro and Jude Bellingham all got on the scoresheet.

Next up sees Real Madrid face off against Shakhtar Donetsk at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The home side will come into this game looking to bounce back from their recent 1-1 draw with Osasuna, having beaten the likes of Atletico Madrid 2-1, RB Leipzig 2-0, Mallorca 4-1 and Celtic 3-0 prior to their disappointing result at the weekend.

Shakhtar have been one of the surprise packages of this season’s Champions League, having hammered RB Leipzig 4-1 away at the Red Bull Arena, on top of drawing 1-1 with Celtic.

PSG travels to the Estadio da Luz where they’ll face Benfica in a top-of-the-group clash in Group H.

RB Leipzig and Celtic meet up for what should be a fascinating game between two attacking outfits.

Leipzig’s form has been inconsistent this season, having lost 4-1 to Shaktar, before beating Borussia Dortmund 3-0 and Bochum 4-0 on either side of 2-0 and 3-0 losses to Real Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach.

On the other hand, Celtic’s 2-1 win at home to Motherwell was their first since beating Rangers 4-0, as in-between these victories they had lost 3-0 and 2-0 to Real Madrid and St. Mirren, whilst only managing a draw away at Shakhtar Donetsk.

The final game on this list is Red Bull Salzburg against Dinamo Zagreb in Group E.

Salzburg have managed two reputable 1-1 draws with AC Milan and Chelsea in the group stages so far, with talented Swiss forward Noah Okafor scoring in both games.

Meanwhile, Zagreb have been in excellent form of late, as they managed 1-0 wins over Chelsea and HNK Gorica, before losing 3-1 to AC Milan. Since then, they have beaten Lokomotiva Zagreb 2-1 and Slaven Koprivnica 4-1.
