The FIFA Club World Cup finally gets underway this weekend, as FIFA's new 32-team format will be in effect for the first time in this competition.

Manchester City are the current holders of the FIFA Club World Cup, with the likes of PSG, Real Madrid and Chelsea looking to claim the title away from Pep Guardiola's side.

This weekend, Al Ahly and Inter Miami make their FIFA Club World Cup debut in the opening game of the tournament, where all eyes will be on Lionel Messi. The standout tie for us this weekend is European champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), taking on Diego Simeone's Atlético Madrid.

Inter Miami's star attraction will undoubtedly be Lionel Messi, as the World Cup winner is bound to be the centre of attention in the opening game of the FIFA Club World Cup against Egyptian side Al Ahly.

Javier Mascherano's side have not kept a clean sheet in 10 matches, with both teams scoring in eight of the last nine games involving the American side.

It's going to be difficult for Atletico Madrid to gain a victory in their opening game of the FIFA Club World Cup, with PSG having won their previous five matches and scoring first in four of those five games.

Bayern Munich are heavy favourites against the worst-ranked team in the competition, Auckland City. The Bavarians are unbeaten in their previous seven matches, which have seen them secure the Bundesliga title in Vincent Kompany's first season at the Allianz.

Bayern Munich have scored first in five of their last six matches, and with their strong squad, they are likely to score more than one goal. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in nine of the previous 10 games involving Bayern Munich.

FC Porto to win & Over 2.5 Goals

Palmeiras vs FC Porto promises to be a close encounter, but given that the Brazilian side has lost two of their last three games, we are tipping FC Porto for this fixture. The Portuguese side are coming into the tournament having won four of their last five matches, and five of their previous six competitive games.
