Sampdoria have made an appalling start to the 22/23 season, with three losses and two draws in their opening five games leaving them in 18th place and with no wins to their name so far – it looks like they will be in a relegation scrap this season, so they need something from this game.

But, they face a tough test in I Rossoneri, who will be challenging for the title this year after their surprise success last season. They have made a good start as well, with three wins and two draws from five meaning that they sit in third place.

Players like Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic have started the season well, with five goals between the pair so far. With such contrasting form and the great performances of their key men so far, we expect Milan to dominate Saturday’s clash.

Celtic hosts Livingston on Saturday in what should be a routine win for Celtic, with Ange Postecoglou on the hunt for his second league title with the club.

The Hoops have, as usual, made a good start to the season and currently sit top after six successive wins. Players such as Jota, Kyogo Furuhashi and Liel Abada have all been key in that start, with four, six and six goals respectively.

Livingston are currently sat just outside the top six, having made a relatively decent start to the season with two wins, albeit losing three as well. But with Celtic in their usual form, and considering their dominant performances of late (scoring nine past Dundee and four in the Old Firm derby), we see nothing but a Celtic win here.

After a 3-1 loss to Manchester United last week that halted their 100%-record start to the season, Arsenal will hope to bounce back this weekend by picking up three points at home against Everton.

The Gunners have made an impressive start to the season by winning their opening five games, and despite that defeat to the Red Devils, they remain top of the table and have a chance to stay there with a win on Sunday.

The Toffees, though, remain the only other side in the Premier League apart from Leicester, to have not won a game so far this season. They drew 0-0 with rivals Liverpool last week, making it four successive draws from their last four league games. They have a lack of quality in their side, which Arsenal should be able to exploit, especially with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard all likely to play (the trio have three goals each so far this season).

Bayern Munich host Stuttgart in one of the Bundesliga’s early kick-offs on Saturday, and with the Bavarians not making their strongest start to the season, this match against midtable Stuttgart presents them with the chance to reclaim top spot.

Stuttgart have drawn four games and lost once so far this season, a run of results that leaves them currently sat in 12th place. Bayern are currently third after five games played, but it is their two draws against Union Berlin and Monchengladbach that have kept them from first place.

Despite these two draws, they have still shown their usual dominance and quality with results such as a 7-0 win over Bochum or their 6-1 defeat of Eintracht Frankfurt.

Despite the loss of Robert Lewandowski hindering them slightly in these opening games of the season, Bayern have filled that void by having their attackers share more of the goalscoring burden instead of relying on just one man like they did – Sadio Mane and Jamal Musiala both have three each, while Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane have both scored twice.

Having scored at least 5 in a game twice so far this season, we are predicting a big Bayern win, helped by their opponents’ stuttering start.
