            Date: 08/05/2024

            Kick off time: 20:00

            Location: Santiago Bernebéu

The week will see Bayern looking for their first win at the Santiago Bernebéu since 2001 to get themselves to another Champions League Final. However, Real have a good home record this season and will look to make yet another Champions League Final.

Real Madrid clinched the La Liga title this weekend. After 34 games, Los Blancos have 27 wins, six draws and one loss, leaving them 13 points above Girona with four games to play.

Los Blancos have the best record in the Champions League, winning the competition 14 times, seven times more than the next most successful side. Real Madrid last won the title in 2022 when they beat Liverpool in the Final 1 - 0. Before that Real won three titles in a row from 2015 to 2018, beating Liverpool, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

Bayern Munich currently sit second in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen already champions. In 32 games, The Bavarians have 22 wins, three draws and seven losses, leaving them on 69 points, just two points above Stuttgart.

The Bavarians have won the Champions League on three occasions, in 2001, 2013 and 2020. In fact, the 2013 title came in the same Stadium that this year’s Final is to be held at - Wembley Stadium. Since their win in 2020, Bayern have crashed out at the Quarter Finals stage with this being their first Semi Finals appearance since 2018.

In European football, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have met 27 times in their histories with the first meeting coming back in 1975. Not much separates the two sides with Real Madrid having 12 wins in comparison to Bayern Munich’s 11 wins, the other four games ending in a draw.

The last five games in this fixture have seen two draws and three Real Madrid wins. However, all five of these games have seen both teams on the scoresheet.
