Serie A Bologna vs Inter Milan Prediction & Betting Tips

Inter Milan make the trip to the Renato Dall’Ara to take on Bologna this Saturday in the Serie A. Milan look to extend their lead at the top of the table whereas Bologna aim to keep a hold of their spot in the Champions League.

Simone Inzaghi's men have a healthy lead at the top of the table and will be looking to keep the likes of Juventus and AC Milan firmly in their dust. Bologna, however, are in the thick of the race for Champions League football, biting at the heels of AC Milan.

Bologna currently sit fourth in Serie A after 27 games. The Greyhounds have 14 wins, nine draws and four losses, leaving them on 51 points, five points from AC Milan in third and four points above Roma in fifth.

In terms of attack this season, The Greyhounds have faltered slightly. In 27 games, Bologna have scored 39 goals, giving them an average of 1.50 goals a game. However, at the other end of the pitch, Bologna have impressed, conceding 23 goals and keeping 11 clean sheets.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, currently sit top of the Serie A table. In 27 games, The Nerazzurri have 23 wins, three draws and just one loss which leaves them on 72 points,
15 points above Juventus and 16 points above AC Milan.

The Nerazzurri have dominated in front of goal this season. Not only have Inter scored the most goals this season, 69 goals with an average of 2.55 goals a game, Lautaro Martinez is also the Serie A top scorer with 23 goals. Inter have also been just as good defensively this season, conceding 13 goals and keeping 17 clean sheets.

Bologna and Inter Milan have met 50 times in their histories, the first meeting coming back in 1999. Inter have the far better record in the fixture with 30 wins in comparison to Bologna’s nine wins, the other 11 games ending in a draw.

In the last five meetings between the two sides, there have been one Inter Milan win, two Bologna wins and two draws. However, in four of the last five games, both sides have been on the scoresheet, with at least three goals a game.

In their last five games in all competitions, Bologna have five wins.

The visit from Lecce saw Sam Beukema open the scoring for Bologna in the fifth minute and Riccardo Orsolini doubled the lead before halftime. Early on in the second half, Orsolini completed his brace and was joined on the scoresheet by Jens Odgaard to secure the 4 - 0 win for Bologna.

Orsolini was on the scoresheet again for Bologna, giving them the lead in the 12th minute. Bologna restricted Fiorentina to just three shots on target as Odgaard scored in the 95th minute to give Bologna the 2 - 0 win and all three points.

The trip to Lazio saw Gustav Isaksen open the scoring for Lazio in the 18th minute, but Oussama El Azzouzi equalised before the halftime whistle. Despite having just three shots on target, Joshua Zirkzee scored in the 78th minute to give Bologna the 2 - 1 comeback win over Lazio.

Bologna once again only managed to get three of their 12 shots on target, but against Verona they managed to convert two of them. Giovanni Fabbian gave Bologna the 1 - 0 lead at halftime and Remo Freuler scored just after the hour mark to bag a 2 - 0 win over Verona.

The last time out for Bologna was against Atalanta, one of their rivals for European football. Bologna went behind early on, with Ademola Lookman scoring for Atalanta to give them the 1 - 0 lead at halftime. However, in the second half, Zirkzee converted his penalty and was joined in scoring by Lewis Ferguson to give Bologna the 2 - 1 win.

In their last six games in all competitions, Inter Milan have five wins.

The trip to Roma saw Acerbi open the scoring for Inter but both Gianluca Mancini and Stephan El Shaarawy gave Roma the 2 - 1 lead at halftime. However, Marcus Thuram equalised for Inter just minutes into the second half, and an own goal from Angelino gave Inter the lead. Bastoni then scored in the 93rd minute to secure the 4 - 2 win for Inter.

Thuram was on the scoresheet again for Inter and was joined on the scoresheet by Martinez and Denzel Dumfries to give Inter the 3 - 0 lead over Salernitana at halftime. Marko Arnautovic added another goal in the last minute to bag the 4 - 0 win for Inter.

In the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, Inter hosted Atletico Madrid. Arnautovic scored the only goal of the game in the 79th minute to give Inter the 1 - 0 win.

It was another 4 - 0 win for Inter Milan back in Serie A. A brace from Martinez and goals from Frattesi and Stefan de Vrij gave Inter the big win over Lecce who had just two shots on target.

The most recent outing saw another 4 - 0 win for Inter Milan. Matteo Darmian and Martinez gave Inter the 2 - 0 lead over Atalanta at halftime. Federico Dimarco and Frattesi both scored in the second half to secure the 4 - 0 win.

Inter Milan managed to earn a narrow 2-1 victory at home to Bologna on Monday, as both Kristjan Asllani and Alexis Sanchez got on the scoresheet to leave their side within 19 points of winning Serie A.
