Smart Acca Picks: Inter Milan vs AC Milan Providing Good Value

On Sunday, Serie A league leaders Napoli travels to 17th place Spezia with Luciano Spaletti’s men looking to open up a 16-point gap on Inter Milan.

Spezia have lost all of their last three matches heading into this game, doing so to Bologna, Roma and Atalanta by two 2-0 scorelines and a 5-2 loss to the latter opponent. Prior to this, they had beaten Torino 1-0 and drawn 0-0 with Lecce.

Napoli suffered a shock exit to Cremonese in the Coppa Italia on penalties following a 2-2 draw, but, have since bounced back by defeating Salernitana 2-0 and Roma 2-1. Prior to this, Napoli had thrashed Juventus 5-1 and beat Sampdoria 2-0.

Real have had some dramatic games in the Copa del Rey of late, managing 3-2 and 3-1 wins over Villarreal and Atletico Madrid. Their league form has been decent too, having beaten Athletic Club and Valencia by 2-0 scorelines on either side of a 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad.

First takes on sixth when Galatasaray goes up against Trabzonspor on Sunday as 13 points separate these Turkish giants in the standings.

Galatasaray have won all of their last five matches, beating Umraniyespor 3-2, Giresunspor 4-0, Antalyaspor 2-1, Hatayspor 4-0 and Fenerbahce 3-0 with Sergio Oliveira, Kerem Aktürkoğlu and Mauro Icardi all bagging in the latter mentioned victory.

Trabzonspor’s form has been inconsistent, having lost 5-0 to Alanyaspor before earning back-to-back 1-0 and 4-0 victories over Istanbul Basaksehir and Istanbulspor. Following on from these two wins, they then lost 2-1 to Hatayspor and beat Antalyaspor 2-0.

The Milan derby takes place on Sunday, with Inter Milan coming in as favourites against last season’s Serie A champions.

Neither side have been able to match Napoli’s blistering pace at the top of Serie A, with Inter lagging 13 points behind, while also being two clear of AC heading into their home derby at the San Siro.

Simone Inzaghi’s men have won four of their last five matches, having beaten Parma and Cremonese by 2-1 scorelines, as well as Atalanta and Hellas Verona 1-0. The only blot on their copybook was a shock 1-0 home defeat to Empoli on 23rd January.

AC have failed to win any of their last five and come into this match under major pressure, having drawn 2-2 with both Lecce and AS Roma on either side of a shock 1–0 home defeat to Torino in the Coppa Italia. Since then, things haven’t got much better, as Stefano Pioli’s men were thumped 4-0 by Lazio and 5-2 by Sassuolo.

The final tip on this list sees Union Saint-Gilloise go head to head with Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Pro League.

Union are second in the table and in good form, having won four of their last five matches, beating Anderlecht 3-1 and Royal Antwerp 2-0 before drawing 1-1 with Cercle Brugge. They have managed 1-0 victories over OH Leuven and Sporting Charleroi of which Gustaf Nilsson scored both of the winning goals.

Zulte Waregem have picked up a respectable seven points from their last five matches, following 2-0 and 3-2 wins over Mechelen and Anderlecht on either side of a 1-0 loss to Genk. Since then, they have drawn 1-1 at home to Westerlo and lost 2-1 away at Club Brugge.
