Olympique Lyon against Lille is the first game to feature here, which is a battle of eighth against sixth in the standings.

Lyon managed to get a 2-1 win over Montpellier last time out, ending a four-game winless run. Prior to this, Olympique had lost three of their last four matches following 1-0 losses to both Lens and PSG, as well as 3-2 away at Rennes. The anomaly in the aforementioned sequence of matches was their 1-1 home draw with Toulouse.

Lille looks to have found some consistency of late, following four wins in their last five matches. Since their 2-1 win over Toulouse on 17th September, they have gone on to lose 2-1 to high-flying Lorient, before beating Lens 1-0, Strasbourg 3-0 and AS Monaco 4-3, with ex-Newcastle man Remy Cabella scoring a brace in the latter mentioned match.

Montpellier are in poor form, as since their 2-1 win against Strasbourg late last month, they have lost all of their last four matches, being defeated 4-2 by Toulouse, 2-0 and 2-1 at home to both Monaco and Lyon, as well as 1-0 away to Lens.

In the Norwegian Elitserien, Rosenborg and Bodo/Glimt meet in a heavyweight clash, as third takes on second in the standings.

Rosenborg were beaten 2-1 by league leaders Molde last time out, however, this was off the back of 3-0 wins over both Stromgodset and Valerenga. Prior to this, they had drawn 4-4 with Kristiansund and beaten Lillestrom 3-1.

Bodo/Glimt have been in tremendous form domestically, thrashing the likes of Sandefjord 4-1, Valerenga 6-0 and Kristiansund 5-0. Their two defeats in their last five have came in the Europa League against the likes of Arsenal 1-0 and FC Zurich 2-1.

On Sunday, Cremonese and Udinese go up against one another in Serie A, as sixth takes on 20th in the standings.

The home side were beaten 1-0 by Sampdoria at the weekend, having drawn their last two matches against Modena and Spezia 2-2 after being thrashed 4-1 at home by Napoli following a 1-1 draw away at Lecce.

Meanwhile, Udinese who are one of Serie A’s biggest overachievers so far this campaign have slid off of late. They have lost their last two matches to Torino 2-1 and Monza 3-2 after 0-0 and 2-2 draws with Lazio and Atalanta. Udinese’s last win came on 5th October via a 2-1 scoreline away at Hellas Verona.

The final game on this list sees Real Madrid and Girona face off at the Santiago Bernabeu in a meeting of first against 18th in the standings.

Girona have drawn two of their last three matches 1-1 against the likes of Osasuna and Cadiz. They have lost three of their last five, having been defeated 3-2, 2-1 and 5-3 by Almeria, Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad.
