This Week's Selections

Tuesday (04/03/2025): Club Brugge vs Aston Villa - Aston Villa to win @7/5

Club Brugge and Aston Villa go head-to-head in the Champions League’s Round of 16.

The home side are without a win in their last two matches following a 1-1 draw with Gent and a 2-1 home loss to Standard Liege after previously beating Atalanta 5-1 on aggregate.

Villa will be hoping to maintain their excellent Champions League form. In their last five matches across all competitions, Villa have managed to beat Cardiff City (2-0) and Chelsea (2-1) on either side of a 4-1 loss at Crystal Palace. In the run-up to those matches Unai Emery’s men had drawn with Liverpool (2-2) and Ipswich Town (1-1).

Wednesday (05/03/2025): PSG vs Liverpool - Liverpool to win @17/10

PSG versus Liverpool should be an entertaining match-up in Wednesday’s Champions League action.

The hosts enter this game with five wins from their last five, having beaten Lille (4-1), Stade Briochin (7-0), Lyon (3-2), Brest (7-0) and Toulouse (1-0).

On the other hand, Liverpool are also in a good vein of form, following victories over Newcastle (2-0), Manchester City (2-0) and Wolves (2-1) while drawing 2-2 with both Aston Villa and Everton.

Thursday (06/03/2025): AZ Alkmaar vs Tottenham: Tottenham to win @1/1

In Thursday night’s Europa League action, Tottenham Hotspur makes the trip to the Netherlands, where they’ll face AZ Alkmaar in the Round of 16.

AZ Alkmaar enters this game with three wins from their last five matches, as prior to last weekend’s 3-1 away loss at Heerenveen, they beat Heracles on penalties in the KNVB Cup after a 2-2 draw, while scraping a 1-0 win over Fortuna Sittard. In the Europa League’s Round of 32, they managed to beat Galatasaray 6-3 on aggregate, having drawn 2-2 in Turkey after thrashing Gala 4-1 at home.

Spurs were beaten 1-0 by Manchester City last week after previously managing to beat Ipswich Town (4-1) and Manchester United (1-0). Prior to those matches, Ange Postecoglou’s men had suffered defeats to Aston Villa (2-1) and Liverpool (4-0).

Friday (07/03/2025): Norwich City vs Oxford United - Norwich to win @4/7

Friday night’s Championship action sees 11th-place Norwich City host 18th-place Oxford United at Carrow Road.

The Canaries have earned six points from their last five matches, having beaten Stoke City (4-2), while drawing with Blackburn (1-1), Hull City (1-1) and Derby (1-1) and losing 1-0 at home to Preston North End.

Oxford are on a poor run of form, as they’ve lost four and drawn one of their last five matches, having suffered defeats to Coventry (3-2), West Brom (2-0), Portsmouth (2-0) and Burnley (1-0) while drawing 0-0 away at Derby.

Saturday (08/03/2025): Walsall vs Grimsby - Walsall to win @3/4

League Two league leaders Walsall meets eighth-place Grimsby Town at The Bescot Stadium.

Walsall recently suffered a narrow 1-0 home loss to Swindon after drawing 2-2 with Cheltenham Town. Prior to those matches, the Saddlers had beaten Morecambe (2-0) and Chesterfield (3-1).

Grimsby were held to a 1-1 draw at Cheltenham, ending their four game winning streak that had seen them beat Fleetwood Town (2-1), Doncaster Rovers (2-1), Carlisle United (2-1) and Bromley (2-0).

Sunday (09/03/2025): Napoli vs Fiorentina - Napoli to win @3/5

The final game on this week’s ladder accumulator comes from Serie A as second-place Napoli meets seventh-place Fiorentina.

Napoli will be looking for a much-needed win, as they’ve managed four draws and one loss in their last five matches following draws with Inter Milan (1-1), Lazio (2-2) Udinese (1-1) and AS Roma (1-1) while suffering a shock 2-1 loss at Como.

Fiorentina’s form has also been poor though, as despite beating Lecce 1-0 last time out, they suffered defeats at the hands of Hellas Verona (1-0), Como (2-0) and Inter Milan (2-1).
