F1 Betting Tips - Austrian Grand Prix 2025

Round 11 of the Formula One season takes to the historic Red Bull Ring, where McLaren look to keep their place at the top of the drivers and constructors this weekend. Oscar Piastri leads the way at the top of the drivers' championship. Still, he will have to be wary of his teammate Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and last year's winner, George Russell, who impressed in his victory at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Best F1 Betting Tips for Austrian Grand Prix 2025

Max Verstappen Pole Position

World Champion, Max Verstappen, has an unprecedented record at the Red Bull Ring, having achieved five pole positions (sprint & qualifying) from 2021 to 2024 - the first time he has achieved this at any race on the calendar.

The Dutch driver also holds the record for most race wins at this track, with four race wins (2018-2019, 2021, 2023).

Oscar Piastri to win the race & Carlos Sainz to finish in the top 10

Piastri is the championship leader, and with every race, he becomes more and more composed ahead of his McLaren teammate. Norris showed that the pressure is getting to him in the last race by going for a move on his team-mate (Piastri), which was never there, ending in a DNF for the British driver.

Oscar has won 5 races this season already and looks to be the one to beat for the championship as we head to Austria. The Australian driver has accumulated 198 points in the driver standings this season, 22 points clear of his McClaren partner, with current World Champion, Max Verstappen, trailing behind on 155 points.

Carlos Sainz moved to Williams at the end of last season and after a DNF in the first race of the season and a slow-ish start for his new team, has now been getting the best out of the car, he’s finished in the top 10 of five of the last six races. Sainz is 13th in the driver standings, but his recent racing performances are bound to continue, as the Spaniard finished on the podium places for Ferrari last year at the Red Bull Ring.

Both McLaren Drivers Podium Finish & Racing Bulls First Constructor Retirement

Oscar (Piastri) and Lando (Norris) have arguably been the best two drivers on the grid this season, as McLaren's progression in their car has carried on from the latter stages of last season; they’re 1 and 2 in the drivers' championship and once again should be fighting for that top spot on the podium. Lando Norris will want to avoid his mistake from the Canadian GP and increase McClaren's lead at the top of the constructor standings.

Meanwhile, the Racing Bulls aren’t having the best of seasons, driver changes haven’t helped with Red Bull swapping from Lawson to Tsunoda during the early part of the season. The team have already had 4 DNF’s and we’ve only had 10 races this season.
