Sunday, 1st June sees the final leg of the European triple header at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Our F1 betting expert breaks down the key information and brings you three betting tips for the weekend.

Best F1 Betting Tips for Spanish Grand Prix 2025

We've already picked out a number of winning tips this season. Here, we bring you the best betting tips for Round 8:

Race Winner Tip

All the attention is currently focused on the McClaren drivers, as they sit top of the rankings separated by just three points, but Max Verstappen continues to show his class and can keep the pressure on the orange team.

The Red Bull isn't set up for success at Monaco and the brave strategy of keeping Verstappen out to the last lap in the hope of a red flag or a safety car could have shown success on another day.

Imola saw him show that class is permanent; a stunning early overtake gave him clear air, and he looked comfortable at the front of the race. The late safety car didn't cause any problems and he quickly built another large lead over Norris & Piastri again.

Like Imola, the circuit here in Spain is a downforce focused track, with short straights and plenty of corners. Max has won here for the last three years in a row and 10/3 is an excellent price for him to win his third race of the season.

Top 6 Finish

With both the Ferraris struggling at Imola there will be a number of smaller teams hoping to finish high in the points.

Alex Albon is our choice for a resurgent Williams at an attractive 7/2. Prior to Monaco, he had back to back 5th place finishes at Emilia-Romagna and Miami, and he also finished 5th in the opening race of the season in Australia.

We successfully tipped Williams for a double points finished at Imola. Their cars have taken a significant step forward this season and Albon sits 8th in the Drivers' Championship with 42 points - that's more than double the points both Williams drivers managed to score throughout the whole of last season.

Monaco - Race Review

Monaco rightly deserves its reputation as a difficult race to watch - it's safe to say it is one for the purists with a lack of overtaking only occasionally punctuated by drama.

In a bid to add extra jeopardy, F1 bosses introduced a mandate that drivers must use three sets of tyres for the race and essentially mandated a two stop strategy in the process. Different teams approached this in dramatically different ways; while some of the back markers pitted immediately, Verstappen made one stop and then (unsuccessfully) waited for a red or yellow flag before finally having to pit before the last race.

More worrying for the future of Monaco was the use of team tactics. Both the Racing Bulls and Williams teams used one car to back up the pack and give their other driver an effectively free pitstop, much to the annoyance of George Russell who picked up a significant penalty for cutting the chicane to overtake the extremely slow Albon.

It remains to be seen what happens with Monaco in the future but what is clear is that there is no easy fix for a race with such an esteemed place in the F1 calendar.
