Super 6 Predictions Round 36

Super 6

Everton 1-1 AFC Bournemouth

This is a tough game to call. The Toffees are flying under David Moyes, but Bournemouth's form has been exceptional this season. Everton are on a three-match winning run, while Bournemouth are unbeaten away from home in their last six.Ultimately, we think this one will end all square, and with Bournemouth's long injury list, they might begin to feel the physical effects of extra time a bit more than the home side.

Southampton 2-0 Burnley
Despite their poor league form, Southampton comfortably dispatched Swansea in the previous round, and although Burnley are a superior side, they're still largely unimpressive in what is a fairly weak year in the Championship.

Burnley have failed to score in three of their last four games and regularly have difficulties in front of goal, so they'll find it hard to get on the scoresheet here. Southampton still have enough quality to give the top Championship teams a very rough ride, and we think they'll do that here.

Aston Villa 2-0 Tottenham

Aston Villa have been excellent at Villa Park in recent weeks, with the Villains unbeaten in all competitions since October on home soil. The Villains have won five of their previous eight home matches, including victories against Manchester City (2-1) and most recently against Celtic (4-2).

Tottenham Hotspur have been inconsistent away from home, having lost three of their last five away from home in the Premier League. The visitors will still be reeling from the effects of their humbling 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on Thursday.

Brighton & Hove Albion 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea's record against Brighton & Hove Albion should give them the psychological advantage in this game. They take on a Brighton side that will most certainly fancy their chances against Enzo Maresca's side. The Blues have won the last four meetings between the two teams, while the Seagulls have failed to keep a clean sheet in the last nine against the visitors.

The Seagulls could still be reeling from the damaging 7-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest, with Chelsea having won a recent London derby against West Ham United (2-1). Expect goals in this fixture, as over 2.5 goals have been scored in six of the previous seven meetings between the two teams - adding to this, neither side has kept a clean sheet in their last three.

Birmingham City 1-3 Newcastle United

Newcastle United are firm favourites to win this cup tie against Birmingham City, however, we do expect the home side to make a decent game of it. There are exactly 40-places between the two sides in the English football pyramid, as Birmingham are top of League One, while Newcastle sit sixth-place in the Premier League.

The Magpies will be full of confidence following the League Cup semi-final win over Newcastle, while in the Premier League, they boast the fifth-best away record, having won six and drawn three of their 12 games away from St. James’ Park.

Plymouth Argyle 0-3 Liverpool

Liverpool are comfortable favourites for this FA Cup tie, although the Reds are expected to heavily rotate ahead of this fixture. Arne Slot played a rotated side in the last round against Accrington Stanley and were comfortable 4-0 winners against the League Two outfit. Liverpool head into this game, following a 4-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur.

Plymouth Argyle are struggling towards the bottom end of the Championship, as the Pilgrims are sat in 24th place in the league - four points adrift of safety. The home side are without a clean sheet in their previous five matches.
