Fresh from scoring an 11-minute hat-trick in the Champions League on Tuesday, Robert Lewandowski and his Bayern Munich teammates return to Bundesliga action on Saturday, looking to consolidate their top-spot when they face Hoffenheim.
The hosts have moved up to fourth and into a Champions League spot in Germany’s top tier, following a strong run of form which has seen them pick up four consecutive wins in a row.
Hoffenheim may not be able to take that run to five though, as the visitors sit nine points clear at the top of the league and are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions: winning five.
In 25 Bundesliga games, Lewandowski has found the back of the net 28 times, 20 fewer than his opponents as a whole.
