Hartlepool are on the search for a new manager following the dismissal of John Askey after a run of just three wins in 19 matches.
The Victoria Park club currently sit 17th in the National League having suffered relegation from League Two last season under the 59-year-old’s management, although this was mainly down to poor form under Paul Hartley and Keith Curle before Askey’s appointment.
Following Hartlepool’s 2-0 defeat at Oldham Athletic, Askey’s final record at Hartlepool stands at 12 wins and 11 draws in 41 matches in charge of Pools.
Hartlepool United can confirm that the Club have parted ways with manager John Askey and assistant manager Mark Goodlad.
