Spurs Next Manager Odds with bet365 - Who Replaces Thomas Frank?

Thomas Frank was relieved of his duties as Tottenham Hotspur manager, following the defeat to Newcastle United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday night. The former Brentford manager arrived at the club in the summer after seven years at the GTECH Community Stadium, and the appointment at the time was seen as a coup, considering the success Frank had with Brentford.

Frank departs the club with a win percentage of 26.9 per cent, making him the Premier League era's worst-performing permanent Tottenham Hotspur manager. The departure was certainly one of shock to Thomas Frank, who had expected to maintain his position ahead of the North London Derby in just under two weeks' time.

Spurs are 16th in the Premier League table, five points above the drop zone, and have won just twice in their last 17 league games.

The Spurs hierarchy now has to appoint their sixth manager in the short span of seven years, and with bet365, we have compiled the best odds on who will fill the managerial vacancy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

bet365's Steve Freeth

"Spurs were 200/1 for an unlikely relegation after beating Manchester City at the Etihad in late August. However, Thomas Frank’s honeymoon period is well and truly over with Tottenham now trading 5/1 for the drop."

"With poor results inevitably comes pressure and it feels like the Dane needs a significant upturn in results to remain in North London at the start of the 2026/27 campaign."

"Pochettino seems to have been fluttering his eyelashes at his former club recently and he could be available after the World Cup. Meanwhile, links with Roberto De Zerbi will likely be prevalent after his departure from Marseille."

"Marco Silva is also one to keep an eye on; having done an excellent job at Fulham, all the talk suggests the Portuguese will leave when his contract expires in the summer."

Latest Tottenham Manager Odds by bet365

Roberto De Zerbi - 4/7
Mauricio Pochettino - 9/2
Edin Terzic - 10/1
Igor Tudor - 10/1
Marco Silva - 10/1
Robbie Keane - 12/1
Oliver Glasner - 14/1
Andoni Iraola - 20/1
Xabi Alonso - 20/1
Michael Carrick - 25/1
Xavi Hernandez - 25/1

Roberto de Zerbi - 4/7

The timing of Thomas Frank's departure also coincided with Roberto de Zerbi's departure. The Italian is on the managerial market once again, after leaving Marseille on a mutual agreement between him and the board. Reports suggested that De Zerbi was looking to leave the club a couple of weeks earlier; at the time, the issues between him and the board were reportedly at a breaking point.

De Zerbi's reputation in the game was strengthened during his time at Brighton & Hove Albion. De Zerbi joined the Seagulls in September 2022 following Graham Potter's departure to Chelsea. Under his management, Brighton & Hove Albion secured a top-seven finish, which qualified them for the Europa League for the first time in the club's history.

De Zerbi's time at Brighton & Hove Albion ended at the end of the 2023/24 season, where, similar to his departure at Marseille, he reached a mutual agreement with the Brighton board to leave for a new venture only two years into his spell at the AMEX Stadium.

Mauricio Pochettino - 9/2

Mauricio Pochettino currently has other priorities on his mind, as he will be guiding the USA National Team in their first home World Cup since Diana Ross missed a penalty in the opening ceremony of the 1994 World Cup.

Pochettino, also linked with the Manchester United job, is one of many managers Spurs will have to wait for before negotiating for the Argentine. Pochettino has not had a club job since his departure from Chelsea, but to many Tottenham fans, despite his choice to be in the dugout at Stamford Bridge, he still remains a fan favourite.

Pochettino's time at Spurs brought the club's most successful era in Premier League history, despite the lack of silverware to match the football on display. Tottenham Hotspur finished second in 2016/17 and were in the title race with Leicester City during their miraculous season, but fell short. Pochettino's Spurs side was filled with players who went on to become household names, such as Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, and, in particular, Harry Kane.

On 8 May 2019, Pochettino led Tottenham to their first-ever Champions League final after defeating Ajax on away goals (3–3 aggregate), with his side coming back from a 2–0 deficit (3–0 aggregate) at half-time in Amsterdam and Lucas Moura scoring a second-half hat-trick. The final in Madrid ended in a 2–0 defeat to Liverpool.

Edin Terzic - 10/1

Edin Terzic has been without a club job since his departure from Borussia Dortmund in 2024 and was previously linked to the managerial role at Tottenham Hotspur before Thomas Frank was employed in the summer.

Terzic's time at Borussia Dortmund is fondly remembered, as he guided the club to a Champions League final appearance at Wembley in 2024, but the Black and Yellows were beaten by Real Madrid, with former star Jude Bellingham providing the assist for Vinicius Junior.

Terzic won't be a stranger to the English game or London for that matter, having spent time in the dugout at West Ham United earlier in his coaching career. Terzic joined Slaven Bilic on the West Ham United coaching staff between 2015 and 2017, serving as Bilic's assistant. Terzic's managerial stint brought a DFB Pokal win in 2021 and a final-day league title defeat to Bayern Munich, when his Dortmund side failed to beat Mainz 05 at home.

Marco Silva - 10/1

Marco Silva is the first notable Premier League manager on this list, and Tottenham Hotspur will face a difficult challenge to prize him away from Craven Cottage in the summer. Silva's Fulham side is well-drilled and plays excellent football with the resources available to them, which could attract the attention of Tottenham Hotspur's hierarchy.

While their last two appointments from the Premier League haven't exactly worked out with Nuno Espirito Santo and Thomas Frank, Silva's stock is on the rise and has shown this season that he can reinvigorate a side with no confidence. Fulham were struggling towards the start of the season, but now the Cottagers find themselves only four points off the European places.

Marco Silva won the EFL Championship in 2021/22, accumulating 90 points and scoring 106 goals in the process.

Robbie Keane - 12/1

Robbie Keane's stock as a manager is rapidly rising, and the Tottenham hierarchy could look to Manchester United's example of appointing a former club legend. Keane spent a combined seven years over two spells at Tottenham Hotspur, making 306 Premier League appearances and scoring 122 goals.

Robbie Keane's last two years in management have been nothing short of successful. Keane spent two years at Maccabi Tel Aviv, during which he won the Israeli Premier League and the TOTO AI Cup in the same season. Robbie Keane is currently plying his trade at Ferencvaros, to which he has guided the Hungarian side to the playoffs in the Europa League, whilst adding another league title to his resume last season.

What happens next for Thomas Frank?

There's an interesting scenario this summer, one which could involve the former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Thomas Frank.

The former Brentford manager has ultimately crumbled under the expectations that were set by Tottenham Hotspur; however, his tenure at Brentford cannot be overlooked, and there will be managerial opportunities for the Dane. Frank is by no means a terrible manager and is certainly Premier League proven.

An opportunity that could open up is the expected managerial vacancy at Selhurst Park in the summer. Oliver Glasner has announced his departure from Crystal Palace, and with Frank expected to take time away, he should be high on the managerial options at Selhurst Park, considering his work at Brentford.
