Torino vs Juventus: Federico Chiesa to score and win

After a stuttering start to the campaign, Juventus have seemingly got their season back on track and with three consecutive wins in all competitions and the Old Lady enter this weekend’s Turin derby in fine form.

Federico Chiesa is a key member of Massimiliano Allegri’s side and with two goals in his last trio of appearances, including the winner in their midweek triumph over Chelsea in the Champions League, the 23-year-old has positioned himself as one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

Should Allegri’s men still harbour hopes of retaining the Scudetto this year, victories against teams like Torino will be imperative and given the run they are on, we are backing a Chiesa goal during a Juventus win at 14/5.

Atletico vs Barcelona: Atletico and under 2.5 goals

Who would have thought at the start of the season that Arsenal would look like a more stable club than Barcelona at the end of September? Well for a struggling Blaugrana, a trip to reigning champions Atletico Madrid is the last thing they need.

Reeling from a damaging 3-0 defeat to Benfica in the midweek Champions League fixtures, Barcelona will enter the blockbuster clash against Atletico in the knowledge a defeat could see them drop out of the top half of the table, should other results go against them.

Having kept only two clean sheets all season, it’s unlikely Barcelona will be able to keep out an in-form Atletico outfit, making a win for Diego Simeone’s usually shrewd side and under 2.5 goals in the game a sensible bet at 10/3.

Stade Rennes vs Paris Saint-Germain: Lionel Messi to score first

It wasn’t that long ago since reports were suggesting Lionel Messi wasn’t particularly happy under Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain, however, following his first goal for the club in their 2-0 victory over Manchester City, the Argentine will be keen to open his Ligue 1 account on Sunday.

Netting in trademark Messi fashion, PSG’s second on the night secured the win against their fellow Champions League hopefuls and Pochettino’s men now sit in pole position to qualify from Group A as winners.

Attention shifts back to Ligue 1 this weekend, where PSG travel to Stade Rennes and with Messi now off the mark for the Parisian club, don’t bet against him finding the back of the net once more, with the former Barcelona talisman 3/1 to open the scoring.

Bayern vs Frankfurt: Sane to score and win

Playing a starring role in Bayern Munich’s 5-0 demolition job over Dynamo Kiev in midweek, Leroy Sane displayed a sample of the form that enticed the record German champions to bring him to the Allianz Arena last summer.

Struggling at times in his fledgling Bayern career, Sane will be hoping for a run in Julian Nagelsmann’s team and the winger could make a return to the Bundesliga starting-11 this weekend when Eintracht Frankfurt travel to Bavaria.

Losing their last five visits to the Allianz by an aggregate score of 24-5, it’s poised to be yet another long afternoon for Eintracht and we’re tipping Sane to score during a Bayern win.

Atalanta vs AC Milan: Both teams to score and under 3.5 goals

Notorious in seasons past for their high-octane style of play, Atalanta have put their foot on the brake a little this campaign and are yet to find the back of the net at the same rate as they did once before.

Having failed to score more than two goals in a single Serie A game this season, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side may have adopted a more conservative approach at times, yet they are still in with a shout of securing a top-four spot.

Their European credentials will be tested when they welcome AC Milan to Bergamo this weekend and with a tight affair expected at the Gewiss Stadium, both teams to score and under 3.5 goals at 9/4 looks like a wise choice.
