Sebastian Haller - Ivory Coast

When Sebastien Haller left West Ham United, it seemed inconceivable that he could have the season he is enduring right now, but it’s happening, and it could prepare him to excel at this tournament and challenge for the top scorer award.

Haller’s Eredivisie stats are incredible thus far with 12 goals and 4 assists in 17 games, but his Champions League stats are unrivalled right now with 10 goals and two assists in six games, currently making him the top scorer in the tournament.

Haller is part of an Ivory Coast team that has a lot of talent around him to suit his needs as a poacher. The likes of Jeremie Boga, Wilfred Zaha, Nicolas Pepe, and Franck Kessie around him will suit his needs, they will create many opportunities for Haller, who has the potential to end the tournament as the top scorer.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting - Cameroon

There is always a buzz around the nation that hosts a tournament and with the buzz being around Cameroon this time, it is set up for their star forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to have an exciting tournament and the Bayern striker could encapsulate the spirit of the nation to drive his team through the tournament.

His vast experience is key here, playing in a Champions League final, scoring in both legs of last year's Champions League quarter-finals, and ultimately, being one of Europe's most travelled goalscorers with his days at Paris Saint-Germain, Stoke City, and Schalke all coming within the past seven years.

Choupo-Moting is one of the biggest names at the tournament, but with all eyes on the likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and other superstars, don't forget his name in the top scorer talk, especially with the home fans behind him.

Kamaldeen Suleymana - Ghana

Since Kamaldeen Suleymana joined Rennes in the summer, he has impressed greatly and is now one of the most exciting young creative outputs in the top five leagues at just 19 years old in a Rennes side currently fourth in Ligue 1.

Ghana do not have the array of attacking talent, with Suleymana and Jordan Ayew being their best forward players. With the focus on getting the ball to Suleymana in attack, he could be one to watch in this tournament, and his ability on the ball could be an exciting watch to try and progress with Ghana.

Ismaila Sarr - Senegal

Unlike his Watford teammate Emmanuel Dennis, Ismaila Sarr has been allowed to join up with his national side, where he can play a major part in a Senegal side that has the potential to win the tournament. However, he may miss a few games due to the injury that has seen him out of action for the past month.

Sarr has been very impressive for Watford the last few seasons, and with the main attention being on Sadio Mane in this Senegal team, Sarr could be key to their potential success. The winger is playing in a team with another star player in it could be very exciting, and he has the qualities on and off the ball to produce in a team who has other quality players in it, unlike at Watford where he is the main attention.

Senegeal are the favourites for a reason, but looking past Mane, Sarr is the guy for the Senegalese.

Hannibal Mejbri - Tunisia

Hannibal Mejbri, despite never playing for Manchester United, is one of the hottest prospects coming out of the famous United academy today, and his recent national switch to Tunisia has made him their star player, and he showcased his skills with their recent run to the Arab Cup final.

Hannibal started all five games for Tunisia in their trip to the final, winning two Man of the Match awards along the way. With the Tunisia team recently playing in that Arab Cup, it could give them an advantage in this tournament with more game time together and the chemistry already being built to a healthy extent.

The United youngster is their creative player, their best outlet for goals at times, and that makes things happen for them in attack, making him arguably the most exciting young player to watch at the tournament.
