2025/26 Premier League Top Goalscorer Odds

The Premier League season is back in just over a week, and ahead of the new season, fans and pundits will be looking at which players can make an impact for their clubs ahead of this exciting and eagerly anticipated campaign.

Last season, saw Arnle Slot guide Liverpool to their second Premier League title in five years, and the achievement was even more impressive given the former Feyenoord manager's first season in English football. Meanwhile, fallen giants Manchester United endured their worst-ever Premier League campaign by finishing 15th.

This season sees a wave of attacking talent on show as the likes of Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland will certainly be amongst the goals, and eyes will also be on new additions to the Premier League in Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike.

That being said, we take a look at the top five most likely players in line to win the Premier League Golden Boot this season.

Erling Haaland - 6/5

Erling Haaland is the bookies' favourite (according to Bet365) to end the season with at least an individual trophy at the end of the campaign. The Norwegian powerhouse, who is famed for his predatory instincts around the six-yard box, had his worst scoring effort on record during his three years at Manchester City; however, the 25-year-old was still in excellent form for the Citizens.

Last season, Erling Haaland scored 22 goals in 31 Premier League appearances and produced an excellent average of 1.9 shots on target per game. Haaland's individual performances were one of the shining lights for a Manchester City side last season, with the FA Cup final defeat still in recent memory for Pep Guardiola's side.

Erling Haaland has shown in recent years that he is guaranteed an excellent Premier League return, as his first season in English football saw the Norwegian break the single-season scoring record. The following season, Haaland scored 27 goals in 29 league starts as Manchester City retained the title.

We are backing Haaland to be a strong contender for the Golden Boot this season. A lot of this will depend on the performance of Manchester City as a team. Still, Haaland showed last season, even in a struggling Manchester City team, by their high standards, Haaland can still produce the goals when needed.

Alexander Isak - 6/1

The big story surrounding Alexander Isak will be whether the Swedish international will be playing at St.James' Park or Anfield. Regardless of the situation, Isak has reportedly assured he will be remaining in the Premier League.

Isak's chances of the Golden Boot will increase should the move to Anfield materialise, given the attacking creative options that the Premier League champions have at their disposal, especially with the addition of Florian Wirtz to their side. Last season, Alexander Isak's performances for Newcastle United drew the attention of Liverpool, with the 23-year-old scoring 23 goals in 34 appearances for the Magpies, averaging 1.4 shots on target per game.

Mohamed Salah - 9/2

Mohamed Salah's longevity in the Premier League since his arrival in the summer of 2017 has placed the Egyptian as arguably the best right winger in the Premier League's history.

The 33-year-old has scored at least 20 goals in each of his eight Premier League seasons at Liverpool, and last season, Salah shattered the record for the most goal contributions in a single Premier League season, eclipsing the record held by Thierry Henry. Salah scored 29 goals to win the Golden Boot, and in this Liverpool side with the signings of Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, Salah is expected to be once again one of the leading contenders for the Golden Boot.

Viktor Gyokeres - 6/1

Arsenal's clamouring for an elite goalscorer to complete their team saw the club scout Liga Portugal and acquire one of the best goalscorers in Europe last season in Viktor Gyokeres.

Gyokeres used to be on the books of Premier League team Brighton & Hove Albion, although he never made an appearance. The Swedish international would move to Coventry City in the summer of 2021, where two consecutive seasons in which he scored 15 goals or more prompted Sporting Lisbon to take a chance on the striker. Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim then nurtured the talents of the powerful striker, and in his debut season in Portugal, Gyokeres scored 29 goals in 32 league starts.

Last season saw the full evolution of the former Championship striker, as across Europe and domestic competition, he scored 54 goals in 52 games, including a UEFA Champions League hat-trick against Manchester City.

Cole Palmer - 20/1

It's fair to say that any success Chelsea have this season rests solely on the mercurial talents of Cole Palmer.

Since he arrived from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, to which many people thought at the time that Chelsea had overpaid for the Manchester City academy product, Palmer has more than shown he was worth the £40m fee and more. In his first season for the Blues, Palmer scored 22 goals and produced 11 assists, while averaging 1.4 shots on target per game.

Last season, the England international scored 15 goals in 36 starts, while averaging 1.4 shots on target per game once again. Palmer was the man of the match in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain, scoring twice and registering an assist.
