In the Premier League era, there have been many world-class playing squads and managers come and go, however, the feat of going a whole league campaign unbeaten has only ever been achieved once, by Arsenal’s 2003/04 squad under the management of Arsène Wenger - otherwise nicknamed as The Invincibles.
The Invincibles went 49 Premier League matches without defeat, however, despite being the only side to go a whole individual league campaign unbeaten, there have been sides that have gone on unbeaten streaks that have stretched longer than the current 38 game format, such as Liverpool’s 44 match unbeaten run between 12th January 2019 and 24th February 2020 and Chelsea’s 40-game unbeaten from 23rd October 2004 until 29th October 2005.
