Tottenham's chase for Champions League football in 2024/25 ended in midweek, but, regardless of past results, both sides will be looking for a win to end their somewhat underwhelming seasons.

Sheffield United come into the last day of the season bottom of the Premier League. In 37 games, The Blades have three wins, seven draws and 27 losses, leaving them on 16 points, 13 points from safety.

The Blades have struggled in attack this season, scoring just 35 goals in 37 games which gives them an average of 0.95 goals a game. However, Sheffield United have also been the worst defensive side in the league conceding 101 goals and keeping just one clean sheet.

Tottenham, on the other hand, sit fifth in the Premier League coming into the final day. In 37 games, Spurs have picked up 19 wins, six drawers and 12 losses which leaves them on 63 points, five points behind Aston Villa.

Spurs have been somewhat consistent in front of goal this season, scoring 71 goals in 37 games, an average of 1.91 goals a game. At the other end of the pitch Tottenham have conceded 61 goals and have kept just six clean sheets.

Sheffield United and Tottenham have met 96 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming back in the 1901 FA Cup. Tottenham have the better record in the fixture with 39 wins in comparison to Sheffield United’s 30 wins, the other 27 games ending in a draw.

The last five games in this fixture have seen three wins for Tottenham and two wins for Sheffield United. This fixture usually has one side on the scoresheet, with only one team scoring twice in the last four games.
