Super 6 Predictions: Round 11

Super 6 Predictions

Manchester United 2-1 Brentford

Despite their recent form in the league, Manchester United have the superior head-to-head advantage when it comes to this fixture, having won two of the previous three meetings against the Bees.

Brentford are without a clean sheet in their last three against United - with Over 2.5 goals scored in five of the previous seven meetings between the two teams. Brentford are most likely to score first in this fixture because of their recent record and Manchester United's defensive frailties.

The Bees made history with their opening goal against West Ham United, becoming the first team in Premier League history to score in the first minute in three consecutive matches. Brentford are without a clean sheet in their previous six, leaving Manchester United an opportunity to take advantage.

Newcastle 2-1 Brighton

Brighton haven’t won any of their last three trips to St. James’ Park but did collect a point when the two sides met in Newcastle last season.

These two teams have seen BTTS land in six of the last seven meetings and in each of the last four which lends itself to there being goals for both sides in this one. The two teams sit side by side in a lot of underlying numbers this campaign (xG 10.5 - 10.8 and xG conceded 10.4 - 11.3) therefore we are expecting quite an evenly matched affair.

Fulham 1-2 Aston Villa

Aston Villa are in very good form heading into this one, unbeaten in their last eight games in all competitions, winning six of those. Fulham, on the other hand, have won only two of their last seven home games in the league.

Both teams to score has occurred in four of both sides' last five games in the Premier League, and both of the last two meetings between the two teams.

Aston Villa have really dominated the head-to-head match-ups between these two sides, winning all of the last four meetings. On that basis, we think the visitors look well positioned to claim a big three points.

Bournemouth 0-2 Arsenal

Arsenal's recent form has been outstanding as Mikel Arteta’s side are currently unbeaten in all competitions, with the second-best defensive record in the Premier League.

With the Gunners consistently solid centre-back pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel, Arsenal have been tough to score past and currently have five clean sheets across all competitions.

Bournemouth have been inconsistent in front of goal at the start of this Premier League campaign. While they have scored eight goals in their seven fixtures so far, they have failed to score in three of those games including their most recent match against Leicester City in which they lost 1-0.

Wolves 1-3 Manchester City

Wolves have had a terrible start to their Premier League campaign, as they’ve only earned one point from their seven league fixtures whilst conceding the most goals in the division.

Gary O'Neil's side have managed to score in every match since the second gameweek but can't keep the ball out of their own net. This was displayed in their most recent match that ended in Wolves losing 5-3 to Brentford.

Manchester City have been brilliant so far this season. They have been ruthless in front of goal, having scored the most in the league (17 times). However, they have only managed one clean sheet in the Premier League, which came on the opening weekend in a 2-0 victory over Chelsea.

Liverpool 2-1 Chelsea

Liverpool have been exceptional this season and are currently sitting at the top of the table having only conceded two goals so far in the Premier League.

The Reds record in this fixture works in their favour, being unbeaten since 2021 against the London club with nine wins in their last ten fixtures in all competitions, Liverpool look strong going into this game.

Chelsea have started the season well, sitting fourth in the table, having scored 16 goals in seven matches. They have scored in every match since the opening day, in which they lost 2-0 to Manchester City. With Liverpool's fantastic form and defensive record and Chelsea's outstanding goalscoring run, this could be a close game.
