Super 6 Predictions Round 22

super 6

Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester City

Despite Palace remaining unbeaten in their previous three, Manchester City's recent win over Nottingham Forest should provide enough confidence for a Pep Guardiola side who were previously winless in their previous seven.

The Eagles have only won once at home all season, conceding eight goals in seven games. In this fixture, Manchester City are unbeaten in the last five meetings between the two sides, with Crystal Palace failing to keep a clean sheet in the last four between the two sides.

Oliver Glasner’s side could take advantage of Manchester City's recent defensive woes, with the Eagles scoring first in five of their previous seven in all competitions. Expect goals in this fixture, as over 2.5 goals have been scored in seven of the last eight involving Manchester City.

Brentford 3-2 Newcastle

Despite the excellent draw in midweek, Brentford's home record is simply too great and will pose Newcastle United some discomfort.

This season, Brentford have won six of their seven home games at the GTECH Community Stadium giving them the best home record in the Premier League ahead of Liverpool. The Bees have scored 22 goals at home this season. However, they are prone to conceding, as Thomas Frank's side have conceded 12 in seven home league games.

The Magpies are winless in their previous three and are without a clean sheet in four. Expect goals certainly in this fixture, as both teams have scored in nine of the last ten involving Brentford, and over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of the last five involving the Bees.

Aston Villa 2-0 Southampton

Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last three home games, following the 3-1 win over Brentford in midweek, facing a Southampton side who are winless in their previous four.

The Saints have been abysmal away from home this season, with no wins from seven on their travels. Southampton have averaged 0.14 points per game on the road, having conceded 14 goals this season away from home.

Unai Emery’s men have a great record in this fixture, having won the three previous meetings between the two teams without conceding. Less than 2.5 goals have been scored in four of the last five meetings between the two teams.

Manchester United 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Man United might be coming off the back of a loss, but they've still won their last four in a row on home soil and are unbeaten in their last seven at Old Trafford, winning six of those.

Forest, however, have won only one of their last five on the road and have lost both of their last two away games by 3-0 scorelines. United have kept three clean sheets in their last four home games and Forest have drawn two blanks in a row away from home, so we're backing the home side to win to nil.

Fulham 1-2 Arsenal

This will be a stiff test for the Gunners against a strong Fulham side. Despite that, though, Arsenal are on fire, with Arteta's side having won their last four on the bounce, scoring 15 and conceding just three.

Fulham are in decent form, but in their last four home games they've lost 1-4 to Wolves and 1-3 to Aston Villa, so there's a clear vulnerability. Additionally, Fulham have won only one of their last 12 head-to-head meetings with Arsenal.

The Cottagers have seen both sides find the back of the net in all of their last five on home soil, while Arsenal have seen BTTS occur in three of their last five on the road.

Tottenham 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea are unbeaten in their previous seven in all competitions, whilst also winning their previous four. The Stamford Bridge club have won their last three away games and have won three of their previous four visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Following their disappointing result against Bournemouth, the hosts are now winless in their previous three and failing to keep a clean in doing so.

Enzo Maresca’s side have shown a great potency in front of goal, by scoring first in five of the last six. The Blues are unbeaten in their last four away from home.
