          Date: 07/04/2024

          Kick off time: 18:00

          Location: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The points deduction to Nottingham Forest have brought them back into the relegation scrap whereas Tottenham are within touching distance of a return to Champions League football.

Tottenham currently sit fifth in the Premier League in 30 games. Spurs have 17 wins, six draws and seven losses, leaving them on 57 points just two points behind fourth-place Aston Villa.

Spurs have been impressive in front of goal this season, scoring 62 goals in 30 games which gives them an average of 2.06 goals a game. Tottenham have faltered somewhat in defence, conceding 44 goals and keeping just six clean sheets.

Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, currently sit 17th in the Premier League. In 31 games, Forest have seven wins, eight draws and 16 losses which leaves them on 25 points, equal with Luton Town in the relegation zone.

Forest have struggled in attack this season. In 31 games, Forest have scored just 39 goals, an average of just 1.25 goals a game. Nottingham Forest have been a bit better at the other end of the pitch, conceding 53 goals and keeping four clean sheets.

This will be the 125th meeting between Tottenham and Nottingham Forest, with the first meeting coming back in 1909. Spurs have the better record in the fixture with 58 wins in comparison to Forest’s 37 wins, the other 29 games ending in a draw.

The last five games in this fixture have seen four wins for Tottenham and one win for Forest, with the last draw coming all the way back in the 2005 FA Cup. This fixture rarely sees both teams on the scoresheet, with three of the last five games ending with one team on the scoresheet.

          Recent Form

In their last six games in all competitions, Tottenham have three wins, one draw and two losses.

The visit from Wolves saw Joao Gomes grab a lead late in the first half for Wolves. Dejan Kulusevski drew Tottenham level within a minute of the first half but Gomes scored again to regain the lead for Wolves just after the hour mark. However, Spurs could not take advantage of their 72% of the possession as Wolves held on for the 2 - 1 win.

Tottenham bounced back against Crystal Palace the next time out. Spurs once again went behind first, with Eberechi Eze giving The Eagles the lead. However, in the last 15 minutes, Timo Werner, Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min all scored to give Tottenham the 3 - 1 win.

A big game in the race for Champions League football saw Tottenham take on Aston Villa. James Maddison and Brennan Johnson scored early in the second half and the red card to John McGinn made Villa even more open. Son and Werner then scored in added time to secure a 4 - 0 win for Spurs.

The trip to Craven Cottage saw Tottenham handed a shock loss. A brace from Rodrigo Muniz and a goal from Sasa Lukic gave Fulham the 3 - 0 win and Tottenham’s first loss there since 2008.

Spurs went behind again, as visitors Luton Town scored early in the third minute through Tahith Chong. However, an own goal from Issa Kabore and a late goal from Son gave Tottenham the 2 - 1 win.

Tottenham drew 1-1 away at East London rivals West Ham on Tuesday in the Premier League as Brennan Johnson's fifth-minute opener was cancelled out by a 19th-minute goal from Kurt Zouma.

In their last six games in all competitions, Nottingham Forest have one win, two draws and three losses.

The Fifth Round of the FA Cup saw Nottingham Forest host fellow Premier League side Manchester United. Forest had just 39% of the possession and five shots on target as Casemiro scored the only goal of the game in the 89th minute to give United the 1 - 0 win.

Back in the Premier League, Nottingham Forest hosted Liverpool in a controversial clash. Darwin Nunez scored the only goal of the game in the 99th minute to give Liverpool the last gasp 1 - 0 win over Forest.

It was yet another 1 - 0 loss for Forest, this time against Brighton. An own goal from Andrew Omobamidele was the difference as Forest slumped to defeat with only 36% of the possession and just nine shots.

Forest finally got on the scoresheet against fellow relegation candidates Luton. Chris Wood opened the scoring for Nottingham Forest but an 89th minute goal from Luke Berry rescued a 1 - 1 draw for Luton.

The visit from Crystal Palace saw Jean-Philippe Mateta give The Eagles the lead in the 11th minute. However, Wood was on the scoresheet again for Forest to grab a 1 - 1 draw for Forest.

Nottingham Forest managed just their seventh Premier League win of the season on Tuesday as they thrashed Fulham 3-1 at the City Ground, taking a 3-0 lead into half time thanks to goals by Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White.
