          West Ham vs Everton Prediction

Two teams struggling for form or consistency coming into this game face each other at the London Stadium. However, based on the results, we are leaning towards a win for West Ham United against an Everton side, with their fanbase growing frustrated with the recent performances under Sean Dyche.
West Ham's home form gives them the slightest advantage when facing Everton at the weekend.

The Hammers have won three of the previous five games in all competitions at the London Stadium, including two consecutive victories in the Premier League over the likes of Ipswich Town and Manchester United. Everton's away record could be more desirable, with the Toffees winning once on their travels this season in the Premier League from five away games.

We shouldn’t expect many goals in this fixture, as six of the previous eight meetings have resulted in less than 2.5 goals being scored in this fixture. That being said, we still maintain that West Ham United will secure the victory in this game, and we predict a 2-0 win for the Hammers.

          West Ham 2-0 Everton.

West Ham vs Everton Preview & Prediction

Two teams struggling for consistency in the Premier League face off at the London Stadium as West Ham United host Everton, with both teams seeking a win at the weekend.

          Date: 09/11/2024
          Location: London Stadium
          Kick-Off: 3 pm

These two teams, in particular, have enjoyed the best of times this season, with increased pressure surrounding both of the managers at this stage of the campaign. The managerial appointment of Julen Lopetegui in the summer brought much optimism for the West Ham faithful; however, after a lacklustre start to their campaign, many West Ham United fans could be pondering life away from the former Sevilla manager. With their summer spending spree, the Hammers failed to meet expectations this season and are currently in 14th place in the Premier League, a point behind Manchester United, which they beat not too long ago. A win for the hosts will move the hosts as high as 12th in the league, although they will need results elsewhere to fall in their favour.

As for the visitors, Everton are essentially where most of the pundits and fans placed the Toffees this season. Sean Dyche’s side are 16th in the Premier League this season and are two points behind their opponents heading into the game at the weekend. The performances from Everton has caused mass frustration amongst the Goodison faithful this season, as the supporters feel there could be more use to this squad than the output may suggest. However, a win for the Toffees will move Everton as high as 13th and ahead of West Ham if results fall in their favour elsewhere.

The last meeting between these two teams resulted in a terrific win for the Hammers. Beto had given the Toffees the lead in the 56th minute before goals from Kurt Zouma, Tomas Soucek, and Edson Alvarez secured victory for David Moyes in his last visit to Goodison Park as West Ham United manager.

Predicted West Ham Eleven: Fabianski, Mavropanos, Todibo, Kilman, Wan-Bissaka, Rodriguez, Soler, Emerson, Paqueta, Summerville, Bowen.

Predicted Everton Eleven: Pickford, Young, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko, Gueye, Mangala, Lindstrom, McNeil, Ndiaye, Calvert-Lewin

          Form Guide

The recent history between the two teams suggests that West Ham United should have the advantage heading into this game. The Hammers have won three of the last five meetings between the two teams and have won two of the previous three meetings between the sides at the London Stadium. Interestingly, there has only been one dismissal in this fixture in the last ten meetings between the two sides, with the fixture producing less than 4.5 cards in eight of the previous ten.

West Ham enters this game on a run of only two wins in their previous five games in the Premier League, in which they have suffered defeats to the likes of Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur by three-goal scorelines. West Ham have won three of their previous five home games at home across all domestic competitions, including victories over Ipswich Town and Manchester United.

In the home league win over Manchester United, the Hammers were dismal in the first half and could have been at least a goal down had Manchester United taken their chances. The Irons performed brilliantly in the second half and grabbed an eventual lead through Crysencio Summerville before Casemiro equalised for the visitors. Matthijs de Ligt conceded a 92nd-minute penalty, which Jarrod Bowen duly dispatched.

Everton's form is respectable heading into this game, with only one loss in their previous six since the collapse to Aston Villa at Villa Park. Interestingly, the Toffees have only won twice in their last six, drawing three times and losing their most recent game to Southampton.

Everton's away record could be more desirable, with the Toffees winning once on their travels this season in the Premier League from five away games. This season, Everton have averaged 0.8 points per game on their travels.

In their most recent away game, Everton suffered the unfortunate notion of providing Southampton with their first win since their return to the Premier League. Everton conceded the majority of the ball, and despite this, they arguably created clearer chances, with Beto being particularly wasteful in front of the goal. Adam Armstrong provided the winner for the hosts.
