US Open Tips for 2025

The US Open is finally here, with the 125th edition of the annual competition set to take place at Oakmont Country Club. The tournament is the third of the four recognised major championships alongside the Masters, the PGA Championship and The Open Championship (also known as the British Open).

Below we have picked out our selected bets, along with a 25/1 special for one of Golf's major sporting occassions.

Course Overview

The Oakmont Country Club plays host to the 125th US Open, with the course known for its narrow fairways and extremely tough bunkers.

The weather will play a part in the proceedings, as a downpour of rain is expected, which could make things easier on the course should it work in the players' favour.

Shane Lowry, Tommy Fleetwood & Brian Harman All Top 20 Finish

Shane Lowry is coming into the tournament in fine playing form, and he has had previous success having won Open Championship in 2019. Lowry could have won at this venue in 2016, leading by four shots going into the final round before shooting a 76 and finishing second.

Tommy Fleetwood is also playing well at the moment and has finished T16 & T5 at the US Open the last two years, and finished 2nd back in 2018 behind Brooks Koepka. The Englishman is ranked 13th in the official World Rankings.

Brian Harman won the Open Championship in 2023, won the Valero Texas Open in April and finished T3 at RBC Heritage later in April. Not at his best last couple of months, but his around-the-green game remains strong and offers big odds for a top 20 finish.

John Rahm Each Way (8 places)

John Rahm has been consistent at Majors over the past five years, with two wins (US Open 2021 & Masters 2023). Rahm has finished 8th & 14th in the two Masters this year.

In 11 tournaments this year, has finished outside top 10 just twice (the Masters & Hero Dubai Desert Classic), and has finished in the top 8 eight times (including ties).

Keegan Bradley Each Way (8 places)

Keegan Bradley is somewhat of an outsider for the US Open, however, Bradley has been showcasing some excellent form in gaining a T7 and T8 finish in his last two tournaments (Memorial Tournament & PGA Championship).

Bradley has only missed one cut this season and is generally excellent around the green, which will bode well for a course like Oakmont. His putting has also shown recent signs of improvement as the season progresses into the third major of the year.
