Morocco against Spain is Tuesday’s first World Cup Round of 16 clash, with this clash having the potential to be a tough game for Luis Enrique’s men.

Bruno Fernandes has arguably been the star player at the World Cup, having scored twice and created two assists in two appearances, doing so versus Ghana and Uruguay. In Portugal’s 2-0 win over Uruguay, the Manchester United midfielder had three shots on target as he bagged a brace.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has received six bookings across the whole of the 2022/23 campaign for club and country. In 110 international caps for Switzerland, the 30-year-old has been shown one red card and 24 yellow cards.

In Portugal’s last two matches at the World Cup, there have been a total of 17 corners awarded.

Portugal will expect to beat the Swiss heading into this match, having qualified from Group H with ease ahead of the likes of South Korea, Uruguay and Ghana, having won both of their first two matches, allowing them to rotate their squad for their most recent match.

Notably, Portugal managed to beat Ghana 3-2 in their opening fixture, while Switzerland’s last game also ended up with the same scoreline, as they defeat Serbia 3-2, meaning that this game has the potential to have plenty of goals in it.

In three matches at the World Cup, Portugal have had 13 corners, meanwhile, Switzerland have had 14.
