Ronaldo has only scored once, doing so from the penalty spot against Ghana on matchday one. The 37-year-old will be hoping to help his nation out with a goal against Morocco on Saturday.

Following Portugal’s 6-1 hammering of Switzerland in the Round of 16, there is a lot of hype around them at present, as the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Joao Felix, Rafael Leao and co are in sensational form.

Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos bagged a hat-trick in Fernando Santos’ side’s 6-1 victory over Switzerland and has certainly put himself in the shop window for any European giants eying up a new striker. The 21-year-old is having a superb campaign, having been involved in four goals in just 84 minutes of World Cup football and could be in line to start their quarter-final tie against Morocco.

Many are predicting that this could be the World Cup where Messi guides Argentina to their first crown since the days of Diego Maradona in 1986.

The 35-year-old PSG man has been superb for La Albiceleste at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, having scored three times and created one assist in four matches. In order to reach the targets of five goals and three assists, Messi will likely have to inspire his side once again past the likes of the Netherlands, before facing Brazil or Croatia in the semi-finals.

Despite being known for his goals, England captain Kane has become a real creative force for the Three Lions. The 29-year-old Tottenham striker has scored one and created three assist in four appearances. If Kane can add another against France on Saturday, he could potentially set up a semi-final clash against one of Portugal or Morocco for Gareth Southgate’s men.

Bruno Fernandes has been one of the players of the tournament so far, as the 28-year-old Manchester United midfielder has scored twice and created three assists in three games and will be looking to add to both of his tallies against Morocco.
