High-flying Coventry City travel to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday in a clash of eighth versus third at Ewood Park.
Tony Mowbray’s side have lost both of their last two matches to Blackpool 2-1 and Huddersfield Town 3-2, but, prior to this they had earned seven points from their previous three matches having defeated Hull City 2-0, drawn 0-0 at Barnsley, before thumping Cardiff City 5-1 where Chile international Ben Brereton Diaz scored a hattrick.
On the other hand, Coventry have won three of their last five games in the division under Mark Robins who has his side on the cusp of the automatic promotion places, beating Cardiff City 1-0, before drawing 1-1 at Millwall and thumping Peterborough United 3-0 and then bouncing back from a 5-0 humiliation at Luton by stunning promotion favourites Fulham 4-1 last time out with Viktor Gyokeres (2), Matt Godden and Ian Maatsen all getting on the scoresheet.
In the last meeting between these two at Ewood Park back in February, the match finished in a 1-1 draw with Brereton’s opening goal in the 27th minute being cancelled out by a Matty James strike just after half time.
Prediction: Blackburn Rovers 2 - 2 Coventry City 11/1
