For our Bristol City vs. West Brom prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
Two Championship sides meet at Ashton Gate in the FA Cup this weekend as Bristol City host West Bromwich Albion.
Bristol City reached the third round of this season's FA Cup by beating Swansea City 2-1 after extra time in the third round.
The Robins have reached the fifth round twice in the last four seasons so they've had success in their fourth round ties of late.
They enter this game in the midst of a pretty decent run of form having won two and drawn three of their last five matches in all competitions, the most recent of which was a 1-1 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers.
Their home form isn't great of late, however, having won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five games on home soil in all competitions. Despite this they are unbeaten in their last three home matches so they'll be hoping that's a sign of things to come.
The Robins have not conceded more than one goal in any of their last eleven games in this competition, so if they can maintain that record here they'll have an excellent chance.
Bristol City are in solid shape here and will likely take this competition seriously given their league prospects are slim. Expect them to field a strong XI and try to progress to the next round.
West Bromwich Albion reached the fourth round of this season's FA Cup by beating Chesterfield 4-0 in a third round replay following a 3-3 draw.
West Brom have reached the fifth round of the FA Cup twice in the last five seasons and have a decent recent record.
They enter this game in good form, too, having won five, drawn one and lost one of their last seven matches in all competitions, the most recent of which was a 2-1 defeat away at league leaders Burnley.
Their recent away record is fairly mixed having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games on the road in all competitions.
West Brom have only drawn a blank in front of goal in one of their last nineteen games in this competition, a record that bodes well for a win here.
The Baggies have already beaten Bristol City 2-0 in the league back on Boxing Day, and in addition to that they've won all three of their head-to-head FA Cup ties with The Robins.
The Baggies will fancy themselves for a decent run in this competition given their form and this is a game they should be looking to win.
