On Saturday, Carlisle United host Walsall at Brunton Park in a battle of 23rd versus 11th in League Two.
The Cumbrians will be desperately hoping that their form can change, as they have only picked up one point in three league matches under Keith Millen, having drawn 0-0 against Barrow AFC at home, before losing 2-1 and 2-0 against Exeter City and Harrogate Town. However, United did have success in the cups, as they beat Morecambe 2-0 in the EFL Trophy, as well as Horsham 2-0 in the First Round of the FA Cup.
Walsall are unbeaten in their last two matches, as the Saddlers beat Port Vale 1-0 last time out thanks to a goal by Brendan Kiernan off the back of a 0-0 draw against Rochdale. Prior to this Matty Taylor’s side had lost 3-1 to Harrogate, as well as 2-0 to Forest Green Rovers in the EFL Trophy. However, like Saturday’s opponents, they did progress through to the Second Round of the FA Cup via a narrow 1-0 win away at King’s Lynn Town.
Prediction: Carlisle United 1-2 Walsall 9/1
