Chelsea are one of several English clubs attempting to overturn a heavy first leg defeat in the Champions League this week as they take on PSG on home soil.
Chelsea enter the game 5-2 down on aggregate after a first leg riddled with naive errors. A poor goalkeeping display combined with schoolboy game management saw Chelsea concede three goals in the last 15 minutes of the game, having largely played well for the previous 75 minutes of the encounter.
The team were then booed off at Stamford Bridge at the weekend after they fell to a 0-1 defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League. With huge question marks lingering over those running the club, morale in the fan base seems to be diminishing, something that could produce a very toxic environment if things don't improve.
Chelsea now have three defeats in their last five outings and only two wins from their last six, with over 2.5 goals being scored in four of their last five games. Chelsea should be able to penetrate the unconvincing PSG defence on Tuesday night, but their own backline is so fragile they could easily ship two or three themselves.
PSG will be delighted with how the first leg played out. An even game turned into a lopsided scoreline late on after a late flurry, largely helped by the introduction of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia off the bench, who scored two goals. The Georgian has a history of performing and coming up with big moments in this competition, and he'll be looking to do just that at Stamford Bridge this week.
The Parisians have four wins from their last six games, while eight of their last nine having seen over 2.5 goals scored. It feels like we're likely to be in for a high-scoring encounter here, and with Chelsea needing to play on the front foot, PSG's lethal attackers will likely get plenty of space to showcase their skillets.
