Liverpool are in dire need of a win as they take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League this week.
- Date: 22/10/2025
- Kick-off: 8:00pm
- Location: Waldstadion, Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt are currently 15th in the Champions League table with three points from two games. The Bundesliga club hammered Galatasaray 5-1 on the opening week of the campaign, before then falling to a 5-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid in their following game.
Eintracht come into this game out of form, with only one win from their last five games, with three losses. Their most recent encounter was a 2-2 draw with Freiburg, where they conceded a late equaliser after spending around half of the game with a 2-1 lead.
The Bundesliga club have major defensive issues, conceding a whopping 18 goals in their last five games combined. Those five games have been exceptionally entertaining though, averaging six goals in total per game. BTTS has also occurred in four of their last five outings.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are in a crisis of their own having lost four games on the spin. Arne Slot's team look completely rattled and seem to have completely unravelled after winning the league last season. Their problems are myriad, but their biggest issues appear to be off the ball, where they're simply far too easy to play through.
Liverpool fell to a 1-2 defeat at home to Manchester United at the weekend, a result that looks awful on paper for many reasons. The loss follows defeats to Chelsea (2-1), Galatasaray (1-0) and Crystal Palace (2-1).
BTTS has occurred in six of Liverpool's last seven games, while over 2.5 goals have also been scored in six of their last seven outings. All the signs point towards a game full of goals, and with both sides on poor form, the team with the most quality should ultimately come out on top.
