Cardiff City and Coventry City will meet in South Wales for a set of midweek Championship games just a handful of days on from the Bluebirds beating their rivals Swansea City in the first all-Welsh derby of the season.
Cardiff were excellent against Swansea City in the South Wales derby and although games came later on in the game, the club were comfortable from start to finish. Ollie Tanner scored in the 2-0 win before Aaron Ramsey got a dream goal for his boyhood club against their arch rivals with a penalty finish.
This doesn't, however, overlook what has otherwise been a dreadful season for Cardiff so far. The club have all but sold the idea to fans that they won't be getting into the playoffs this season after letting in 10 goals and scoring the same amount and once again failing to find any sort of consistency.
The only other win Cardiff have in the league this season was in a 2-1 narrow victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Ike Ugbo scored the opening goal that day, as Ryan Wintle held his nerve and managed to convert his penalty in the 98th minute.
As for Coventry, it hasn't exactly been a much better season so far with them just one place higher in the table. Last time out, Coventry grabbed a point on the road with a finish from Joel Latibeaudiere in the first half before Aaron Connolly scored a late equaliser. The Sky Blues also conceded 18 shots that day.
The Midlands outfit have now drawn four games in a row with them managing to get a point away to Swansea and at home to Sunderland and Watford before their recent draw with Hull. Coventry's last win was in a 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough, as Matt Godden and Haji Wright scored alongside an own goal.
