A sliding Birmingham City side are hoping to arrest their descent down the EFL Championship table as they face Coventry City this weekend.
Coventry City currently sit 17th in the EFL Championship with five wins, seven draws and seven losses from nineteen games this season.
The Sky Blues are having a difficult season following on from the heights of last season as they find themselves fighting to stay clear of the relegation battle.
They're still six points clear of the drop zone so they have a good cushion, but they still have work to do if they're to begin to climb the table and kick on.
They're entering this game amidst a mixed run of form on the whole having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games, the most recent of which was a 2-1 loss away at Ipswich Town.
There is no shame in losing to the side 2nd in the table and the defeat did follow a three-match unbeaten run that had seen them win two on the bounce heading into that fixture. They will, then, be hoping to pick up from where they left off given they have a much easier encounter in store here.
Their form at home has been fairly solid having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games on home soil so they'll feel confident about getting back to winning ways here.
All in all, they should feel in good spirits entering this game despite a defeat last time out and this is not a game they should lose.
Birmingham City currently sit 15th in the EFL Championship with six wins, five draws and eight losses from nineteen games.
The Blues are having a poor time of things at the minute and many would argue it's largely self-inflicted given the baffling decision by the club's ownership to sack manager John Eustace and replace him with Wayne Rooney.
To the surprise of few, Birmingham have been struggling since Rooney's appointment and they enter this game completely out of form having won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five games.
Their most recent encounter saw them held to a hugely disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Rotherham United, a pretty deflating result given the Millers are currently second bottom in the league standings.
Birmingham's away form is frankly shocking too, with the Blues having lost all of their last seven matches on the road.
It's hard to see where Birmingham's next three points are going to come from but when they do arrive it's very unlikely that will be away from home. Expect them to fall to yet another loss here.
For our Coventry vs. Birmingham prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.
