Coventry City are searching for a much-needed win as they travel to face Stoke City in the EFL Championship.
Coventry City currently sit 20th in the EFL Championship with three wins, six draws and six losses from fifteen games this season.
The Sky Blues are having a completely contrasting campaign compared to last season's heroic exploits that saw them reach the play-off final as they find themselves in and around the relegation places in the early months of the season.
They're coming into this game woefully out of form, winless in their last five games having lost their last four on the bounce.
Their most recent outing saw them fall to a 3-2 defeat away at Preston North End in a game they'll be disappointed not to have taken anything from having competed for the majority of the match.
They can at least take some confidence from the fact they've only lost one of their last five games on home soil but having also won only one of those it doesn't bode particularly well in terms of three points in this one.
Coventry are looking well below the standards they set last season and need a win to try and instigate an improved run of form but on current evidence it's hard to see where that's coming from.
Stoke City currently sit 13th in the EFL Championship with six wins, two draws and seven losses from fifteen games so far this season.
The Potters are having a somewhat underwhelming campaign so far having entered the campaign hoping to mount a promotion push but instead find themselves lingering in mid-table.
They are, though, coming into this game amidst a good run of form having gone unbeaten in their last four games, winning three and drawing one of them.
Their most recent game saw them held to a 0-0 draw was home to Cardiff, a somewhat disappointing result given the run they found themselves on but nevertheless it maintains their unbeaten run so their momentum remains in tact.
The Potters are a mixed bag when playing away from home as they come into this game having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games on the road.
Stoke battered Coventry 4-0 when the two sides met in this fixture last season but given Coventry went unbeaten in the previous six meetings between the two sides they're certainly ahead on the head-to-head battle.
Alex Neil's side are in considerably better shape than their opponents entering this game so they should fancy themselves to get a positive result.
For our Coventry vs. Stoke prediction, we're going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
