Huddersfield vs Birmingham Prediction, Tips & Stats

Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City will clash at the John Smith's Stadium this weekend with the two clubs set to battle it out in a huge game down at the bottom end as the Terriers look to move out of the bottom three.

Since the start of the season, it's been horrendous for Huddersfield fans, and the thoughts of League one football now weigh heavier than ever on fans' minds. In fact, the club are winless in eight games and have just one victory to boast of in 2023. Worse yet, they've even drawn with 22nd-placed Blackpool and then gone on to lose 1-0 to Wigan Athletic in last place not long after. Last time out, the Terriers lost 3-0 to Stoke City to send them back into 23rd in the league.

The club have won just seven games all season long and even if they now in their game in hand over Cardiff City, they will remain in the bottom three because of the three-point gap.

As for Birmingham, they lost 2-0 at home to Cardiff City in midweek. It now means they are down in 18th and above 23rd-placed Huddersfield by just 10 points and as close to the relegation zone as they've ever been.

          Birmingham team news

The loss for Birmingham last time out likely brings in a few changes to the side. Neil Etheridge likely stays on the bench for Ruddy in goal, but Jordan James could now come into the side. Gary Gardner is also set to feature at some stage after missing the last game. Troy Deeney will likely play here as well after coming off the bench in the last game. Emmanual Longelo and George Hall both came off the bench that day and may feature here. Tahith Chong and Hannibal Mejbri should also feature, with Scott Hogan and Lucas Jutkiewicz set to get some more game time.

          Huddersfield Town team news

William Boyle was sent off for two yellow cards against Stoke City and he will now miss this game here. Lees, Pearson and Headley should all feature in the back line still, but Jo Hungbo and Pat Jones are likely to feature here at some stay. Matty Lowton is also likely to get some minutes as well. Josh Ruffels and Etienne Camara are both back for the Terriers and will get minutes here. Jonathan Hogg, Jon Rudoni and High should remain in the midfield three, while Anthony Knockeart and Martyn Waghorn likely get minutes to. Koroma is set to play here as well with the injury to Jordan Rhodes.
