          Hull vs Rotherham Prediction

For our Hull City vs Rotherham United prediction, we are predicting a home win.

The final stages of the Championship season approach as teams across the division hope to end the season on a high. Rotherham United heads into the final stages with hopes of survival, and their first task is to travel to face mid-table Hull City.

Hull City are currently under the management of former club right-back Liam Rosenior. Rosenior spent five years at the club, making 161 appearances for the Tigers. Rosenior was appointed head coach in November following a poor start to the season for the Yorkshire-based club.

The home side should have no worries about relegation fears as we approach the final eight games until the season closes. Hull City is currently in 15th place after 38 games played. The Tigers are 11 points clear of the relegation zone, with Huddersfield Town occupying 22nd place. The hosts are 13 points off the final play-off place, that being said a top-half table looks like the most achievable proposition this season.

Liam Rosenior's side enters this game on the back of some very mixed form. The hosts have drawn two of their previous five games, having won once and lost the remaining two. The most recent win came against play-off hopefuls West Bromwich Albion. Despite having less of the play, Hull City managed to grind out a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Benjamin Tetteh and an own goal from Dara O'Shea.

The reverse fixture between the two teams was a six-goal thriller at the New York Stadium. Goals from Cyrus Christie, Jacob Greaves, Ryan Longman and Ozan Tufan gave Hull a 4-2 win. The overall head-to-head records are close, as Rotherham has 27 wins and Hull City has 28, respectively.

Oscar Estupinan will be pivotal for the home side at the weekend. The Colombian has 13 goals in the league and is responsible for 30% of the goals output for Hull City.

Rotherham United will aim to stay in the Championship once again as the prospect of relegation looms. The Millers are currently in 20th place in the league table, having played a game more than Huddersfield Town.

The away side will be hoping to complete the match this time around. Before the international break, they were pitted against relegation rivals Cardiff City. The game was abandoned due to rain, which favoured Rotherham United since they were a goal down.

Rotherham United currently have better form heading into this game than their opponents. The Millers have won two of their previous five games and have picked up eight points from their last 15. Their fixture list does not favour them in the run-in, however. The visitors face the task of playing five out of the top nine teams in the league in their remaining games.
