Swansea City are looking to keep their outside chances of stealing a play-off place alive as they face Hull City this weekend.
Hull City currently sit 15th in the Championship with fourteen wins, fourteen draws and sixteen losses from forty-four games this season.
The Tigers have had a forgettable campaign in the Championship having spent the majority of it in the bottom half without ever being involved in either the play-off race or the relegation scrap.
They enter this game in decent form, however, having won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five matches, the most recent of which was a 1-0 win over Watford.
The win over Watford was their second consecutive win on home soil and their form on their own patch has been solid of late with The Tigers winning three, drawing one and losing one of their last five games at home.
Hull have nothing to play for now but their players seem committed to ending the season positively with a view to building something more successful over the summer to head into next season.
As far as this game is concerned, Hull’s home form makes them a difficult task for any side but they’re facing one of the league’s most in-form sides so three points will be hard to come by.
Swansea City currently sit 12th in the Championship with seventeen wins, eleven draws and sixteen losses from forty-four games this season.
The Swans entered this season as many people’s pick to reach the play-offs, but they’ve spent the majority of the campaign failing to live up to that projection having been an underwhelming outfit for the most part.
However, a late run of strong form has seen them make a last gasp surge for the top six as they enter this game unbeaten in their last seven matches, winning six of those while having won their last four on the bounce.
Their most recent outing saw them claim a comprehensive 3-0 victory away at play-off rivals Norwich City, a fourth win on the bounce and a third clean sheet in four.
Their form away from home has been strong too where the Welsh side have won their last three consecutive games on the road.
Having beaten Hull 3-0 back in September The Swans will be mightily confident of securing a league double here considering their scintillating form.
Swansea are surging right now and sit three points shy of the top six with two games left to play. The race for 5th and 6th is mightily congested and it will take a lot of luck for Swansea to end up in the top six, but their chances are very real and should be monitored.
For our Hull vs. Swansea prediction, we’re going for a 2-1 win for the away side.
