After two contrasting results last time out, Middlesbrough and Preston North End will meet on Saturday afternoon with them both coming into this game separated by nine places in the Championship table now.
Boro played hosts to the in-form Stoke City during the week and for all the incredible form under Michael Carrick, it was still not enough to defeat the Potters after their excellent winning run recently.
Chuba Akpom scored for Carrick's side that day and it brought home yet another unbeaten game for Boro, which now extends their unbeaten run back to three games since losing to West Bromwich Albion 2-0.
The North East outfit also smashed Reading 5-0 two weeks ago, as they headed to South Wales and defeated Swansea City 3-1 before the draw with Stoke. It keeps the club in third and behind Sheffield United by a handful of points, as Carrick has now led his side from the relegation zone and into a comfortable position of nine points above seventh.
Preston come into this one off the back of another win last time out, as they beat Rotherham United 2-1 with a goal from Thomas Cannon and another from Ched Evans. They also beat Cardiff City just before this and now come into this game in 11th.
