We have a tasty-looking fixture in the EFL Championship this weekend as Middlesbrough lock horns with West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
Middlesbrough currently sit 13th in the EFL Championship with nine wins, three draws and ten losses from twenty-two games this season.
Boro are having an up-and-down season in terms of form but have improved notably after a tough start to the campaign.
Domestic form aside, they're coming into this game off the back of arguably the high point of their season having sealed their place in the League Cup semi-final after a 3-0 win away at Port Vale in the quarter-final.
While the win didn't come against a formidable opponent, the consequence of that victory is significant and they can now look forward to the chance to do something special.
In terms of league form they've been a mixed bag having won two and lost three of their last five, the most recent of which was a 2-1 win away at Swansea City thanks to goals from Sam Greenwood and Samuel Silvera.
The win over Swansea was a timely one as Boro were coming off the back of a three-match skid, albeit two of which were against two of the top three, and they can now say they have a good amount of momentum behind them after two good wins.
They've won two and lost two of their last four league games and home and considering the last two were the games that ended in defeat they'll feel well-placed to give their fans a much-deserved home victory.
West Bromwich Albion currently sit 5th in the EFL Championship with ten wins, six draws and six losses.
Fans of the Baggies will be pleased with how their side have performed in the opening few months of the season as they sit within the playoff places, but given there isn't much of a cushion between them and the chasing pack they'll still be eager for their side to show they have another gear in them.
They're entering this game in mixed form on the whole having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five games.
Their latest outing saw them held to a 1-1 draw at home to Stoke City, a pretty disappointing result given Stoke are amidst a very poor run of form and Albion had the home advantage.
Their form away from home has been pretty decent of late having won three and lost two of their last five so they'll fancy themselves to rebound.
They're in need of a win here to keep their momentum in tact but it won't be easy against a dangerous Boro side.
For our Middlesbrough vs. West Brom prediction, we're going for a 1-1 draw.
