For our Norwich vs. Cardiff prediction, we're going for a 2-0 win for the home side.
Two sides with contrasting aspirations meet in the Championship this weekend as Norwich City welcome Cardiff City to Carrow Road.
Norwich City currently sit 9th in the Championship with fourteen wins, seven draws and twelve losses from thirty-three games this season.
The Canaries have had a pretty underwhelming season on the whole after starting the campaign in such promising fashion. Norwich were soaring at the top of the league table in the opening weeks but an abrupt collapse in form saw them slide down the table to, at one point, as low as mid-table.
Norwich have never really recovered despite a mid-season managerial change and they enter this game amidst a fairly mediocre run of form having won two, drawn one and lost two of their last five matches.
Their most recent outing saw them claim a fairly comfortable 3-1 win over Birmingham City, a result that means they're now three games unbeaten having taken seven points from those fixtures.
They've won their last two home games by an aggregate scoreline of 6-2 but having lost each of their three prior matches on home soil there are still doubts surrounding their fallibility at Carrow Road.
Norwich are only one point outside of the top six and are still in a very healthy position as we enter the season's final stretch, but their lack of consistency is certainly a worry when considering them as promotion candidates. This, however, is a game they should win with relative comfort.
Cardiff City currently sit 21st in the Championship with nine wins, eight draws and sixteen losses from thirty-three games this season.
The Bluebirds have had a fairly torrid campaign as they desperately attempt to avoid the dreaded drop to League One, and having registered a couple of important wins they now have a cushion between themselves and the relegation zone.
They enter this game having won two and lost three of their last five matches, but having won each of their last two on the bounce there are signs that a good run of form is on the horizon.
Cardiff claimed a 2-0 win at Birmingham City before dispatching Reading 1-0 last time out to climb out of the drop zone with a four point safety cushion.
Their away record still leaves a lot to be desired considering they've lost four of their last five on the road, but having won their most recent away game they'll be hoping they've turned a corner.
Cardiff are still in dire need of wins but their position is much healthier than it was a few weeks ago. This will be a tough game to take anything from but Norwich are far from impervious to shock results.
