Two sides looking to reboot their playoff hopes will clash this weekend with Norwich City playing hosts to Preston North End at Carrow Road with David Wagner's men gradually moving up the table over the past few weeks.
Preston are still sitting with a solid record so far this season, although they have shot down the league table in recent weeks and now sit in eighth. The Lilywhites come into this game with eight wins and seven losses to far, having recorded a poor goalscoring record once again of just 24 goals scored and 32 let in.
Worse yet, the club are currently on a three-game losing skid after defeats to Cardiff City, Middlesbrough and Queens Park Rangers. Preston have also let in eight goals in this time and scored just one of their own. The club's last win, however, was in an impressive 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers as Alan Browne and Liam Lindsay scored a goal in either half, respectively.
As for Norwich, they are sitting in 13th after a late winner from Adam Idah against Bristol City gave them much more hope in terms of closing in on the playoffs before Christmas. They still, however, have a lot of work to do with them still in the bottom half of the table and with 36 goals let in from 19 games - this is the worst defensive record in the Championship after Rotherham's tally of 37.
The Canaries are, however, now sitting with a gap of just four points on the playoff spots with Wagner's men winning the same amount of games as Preston so far.
